The following court cases were heard in Christian County Court on 07/27/2026.

Wyatt L. Cain – Charged with aggravated DUI resulting in a vehicle crash causing great bodily harm. A Plea hearing is scheduled for 09/24/2026.
Dustin R. Cline – Guilty of aggravated battery against a peace officer, and charged with criminal damage to a school valued between $500 and $10K and with concealing or aiding a fugitive. Cline appeared in custody with his public defender. The matter has been reset for possible plea hearing on 07/28/2026. Cline’s order for detention remains in effect.
Daniel J. Endres – Charged with criminal sexual assault against a victim younger than 18-years-old while deemed a trusted adult. GPS home confinement has been altered from inside only to the limits of current the property line. A status hearing has been scheduled for 09/15/2026.
Kevin J. Fasig II – Charged with meth possession (Less than 5 grams). Fasig’s motion to continue preliminary hearing is granted with delay to Fasig. A preliminary hearing is set to take place on 09/15/2026.
Carl L. Gray – Charged with meth possession (Less than 5 grams) and with theft valuing between $500 and $10K. Gray appeared while in custody with his public defender. Inpatient treatment has been marked as completed, and Gray was released on pretrial conditions. Pretrial is set for 10/02/2026.
Nicholas D. Harris – Charged with robbery. Pretrial has been set for 10/01/2026.
Matthew W. Koberlein – Charged with possession of meth (Less than 5 grams). Koberlein is currently in custody at Effingham County Jail. Counsel only status hearing has been set for 10/02/2026.
Steven Martinez – Guilty of harassment by making death threats. Martinez pleaded guilty today and as per his plea deal, is now sentenced to 2 years of probation, 6 days in Christian County Jail with 3 days of time served credited, probationary counseling and monitoring, warrantless searches, no contact with the victim, and restitutions.
Jeffrey R. Moreland – Charged with possession of meth (Less than 5 grams). Moreland waived formal arraignment, pleaded not guilty, and demanded trial by jury. Pretrial is set for 10/05/2026.
Craig S. Schleyhan – Charged with burglary and theft with intent to control valuing between $500 and $10K. Matter reset for 08/07/2026.
Mary M. Spencer – Charged with aggravated battery against a victim who is 60-years-of-age or older, and with obstructing justice by leaving state. Matter reset for tomorrow, 07/28/2026 due to Spencer’s attorney being unavailable.
Lester G. Ward – Guilty of meth possession (Less than 5 grams) and charged with a second count of meth possession (Less than 5 grams). Pretrial is set for 10/05/2026.
Dylan L. Woodworth – Charged with obstruction of justice by destroying evidence. Woodworth is currently in IDOC custody. The state’s motion to dismiss was granted.
