Christian County Court Cases 05/05/2023

The following court case was heard on May 5th, 2023:

 

Patrick Carr: Defendant present remotely in custody with Public Defender Senger, who is appointed to represent Defendant by agreement of the parties. SP Depaepe proceed. By agreement, oral motion for furlough granted but no release until screening and bed availability. Public Defender Senger will discuss the matter with her client. Status on 5-12-23 at 10 a.m.

 

Brandi Hurley: Defendant present with Public Defender and State's Attorney present. By agreement, petition to modify granted. See written order and by agreement, GPS monitoring condition vacated. By agreement, final pretrial hearing scheduled for 6-20-23 at 1:15 p.m. Jury trial scheduled for 7-3-24 at 8:30 a.m. Both hearings are in person. Parties ordered to file pretrial motions at least 30 days before the jury trial to be heard at the final pretrial hearing. Trial in abstentia admonition given. All other pending matters set for pretrial with the final pretrial.

 

Michael Kline: Defendant present with Public Defender Senger and SP DePaepe present. Negotiated plea presented and approved by the Court, whereby Defendant pleads guilty to the charge of unlawfule delivery of methamphetamine (Count I). Remaining counts dismissed. No judgment of conviction entered. By agreement, Defendant sentenced to 2 years problem solving court probation (drug court) and 180 days in jail with credit for time served of 254 days. See written orders.
Defendant ordered released from custody and to immediately report to the probation department. By agreement, Taylorville Police Department is ordered to released Defendant's phone to him today. SP DePaepe's appointment vacated and Defendant knowingly and voluntarily waives any conflict of the State's Attorney repressenting the State while Defendant is in problem solving Court.

 

Jacob Snow: Defendant present with Public Defender and State's Attorney present. Negotiated plea presented and approved by the Court, whereby Defendant pleads guilty to the charge of misdemeanor domestic battery (Count I). Count II dismissed pursuant to negotiated plea and with
the agreement of the alleged victim. Judgment of conviction entered. By agreement, Defendant sentenced to two years probation, 30 days in jail with credit for six days served, and he is ordered to pay the fine and assessments set forth in financial sentencing order bond to apply. Defendant to serve the remaining jail sentence on alternating weekends. See written orders.

 

Keith Westbrook: Defendant present pro se and State's Attorney present. Defendant did not give proiper notice. Petition reset for hearing 7-10-23 at 10 a.m.
