Christian County Court Cases 7/24/17

These are the results of the following court cases heard in the Christian County Court on Monday, July 24th:

 

17CF110 - Jacob O. Banning - Domestic Battery with a Prior - Motion to Reduce Bail. Defendant testified on his own behalf. Agreement was made in court. Bond will stay at $15,000, but he will be furloughed to substance abuse treatment when it becomes available. Pre-trial scheduled for July 31 at 10 a.m.

 

17CM032 - Wade S. Dailey - Battery - Plea. Negotiated plea has been reached. Will serve one year of probation.

 

16CF127 - Patricia H. Horn - Retail Theft Less Than $300 - Pre-trial. Defense is anticipating a negotiated plea being reached. Pre-trial scheduled for August 3 at 10 a.m., jury trial still scheduled for August.

 

17CF046 - Brian A. Otey - Theft Between $500 and $10,000 - Pre-trial. State has made an offer, but no decision has been made. Next pre-trial scheduled for August 1 at 10 a.m.

 

17CM059 - Jeremy E. Reiss - Retail Theft Less Than $300 - Appearance. Defendant requests public defender. Public defender appointed. First appearance with counsel set for September 5 at 10 a.m.

 

16CF042 - Robert A. Stivers - First Degree Murder and Aggravated Battery of a Child, Pre-trial. Also 15CF165 - Failure to Report an Accident with Injury and DUI, 15CF204 - DUI, and 2 traffic charges. Expert witnesses have provided written opinions, defense has provided those to the state. Next pre-trial scheduled for August 24 at 11 a.m.

 

17CF030 - Brian D. Taylor - Possession of Meth Less Than 5 Grams - Petition to Revoke / First Appearance. Waived formal arraignment on both allegations. Defendant denies allegations. Pre-trial set for August 7 at 10 a.m.

 

16CF117 - Mark A. Hedrick - Meth Manufacturing Less Than 15 Grams, Possession of Meth Manufacturing Material, and Possession of Meth Between 15 and 100 Grams - Motion to reduce bail. Recognizance bond of $30,000 agreed on. Sentencing hearing set for August 28 at 1:15 p.m.

 

17CF140 - Rodney Sizemore - Criminal Damage to Government Property Less Than $500 - First appearance. Charge was read. Public defender was appointed. First appearance with counsel and preliminary hearing scheduled for August 4 at 10 a.m.

 

16CF226 - Pamela J. Rozplochowski -  Receiving Possession of a Stolen Vehicle - Pre-trial. Also 16CF104 - Theft With a Prior and 16CF21 Retail Theft Less Than $300. Status hearing set for July 31 at 10 a.m.

 

17CF126 - Jenna L. Sparling - Criminal Damage to Property Between $500 and $10,000 - First appearance. Charge was read. Public defender appointed. First appearance with counsel set for July 25 at 10 a.m.

 

17CF139 - Amanda G. Mollet - New charge was read. Public defender appointed. First appearance with counsel set for July 25 at 10 a.m.

 

17CF127 - Kalyn L. Worker - Meth Delivery Less Than 5 Grams and Meth Possession Less Than 5 Grams - Preliminary hearing. Also 17CF049 - Meth Delivery Less Than 5 Grams. Preliminary hearing is waived. Discovery has been provided to defense from state. Formal arraignment is waived, defense pleads not guilty. Jury trial scheduled for September. Pre-trial is scheduled for August 31 at 11 a.m. Trial in 17CF049 moved back from August to September as well.
