Christian County Court Cases 5/16/17

These are the results of the following court cases heard in the Christian County Court on Tuesday, May 16th:

 

16CF044 - Brett M. Sklenka - 2 counts of Manufacturing/Delivery of 1-15 grams of Cocaine. Pre-trial. Looking to come to resolution between state and defense between now and next court date, set for June 6th at 10 a.m.

 

16CF042 - Robert A. Stivers - First Degree Murder and Aggravated Battery - Pre-trial. Also 15CF204 - Driving Recklessly / Suspicion of DUI and 15CF165 - Failure to report an accident with injury and Driving Recklessly / Suspicion of DUI. Set for trial in August. Jury trial pushed back to September 11th at 8:30. Defense ordered to disclose all experts and any reports within 30 days. State ordered to disclose any supplemental opinions within 60 days. All pre-trial motions to be on file within 90 days. Next Pre-trial set for June 16th at 10 a.m.

 

16CF212 - William D. Thomas - DUI and Reckless Conduct - Pre-trial. Agreement for open plea. Two years of probation on each charge to run concurrently and an alcohol evaluation. Only thing not agreed upon is the jail time to serve. A sentencing hearing will be set for Monday July 24th at 11 a.m.

 

17CF027 - Noah L. Allen - Meth Delivery between 5 and 15 grams - Final Pre-trial. Continuance issued on May trial. Another Pre-trial date set for May 30th at 10 a.m.

 

17CF005 - Kody E. Campbell - Burglary - Status hearing set for tomorrow afternoon at 2 p.m.

 

16CF071 - Tilur M. Miller - Burglary - Pre-trial set for May 19th at 10 a.m.

 

17CF090 - Brett Peters - Burglary - Preliminary hearing set for June 18th at 10 a.m. Bond reduction motion to be filed, hearing scheduled for May 18th at 10 a.m.

 

17CF091 - Michael P. Shilling - 7-counts of possession of child pornography -  First appearance. Could face 2-5 years in Department of Corrections on each charge. Could face more charges after more evidence is analyzed. Probable cause found to detain Schilling, bond set at $100,000. Public defender appointed. Preliminary hearing scheduled for June 12th at 10 a.m.
