S.A.A.D (Standing Against Addiction & Drugs) Narcotics Anonymous meets on Sundays at 4 p.m. at 119 W. State Street in Nokomis. Nar-Anon Thursdays at 6 p.m. and Al-Anon Monday at 7 p.m.
Awana Club Awana Clubs are held every Wednesday night September through April at the Taylorville Evangelical Free Church, 319 South Washington Street, from 6:30-8:00 pm. All children ages 3 - 5th grade are welcome.. Transportation is provided by calling the church in advance at 824-9473.
University Women of Christian County will be offering two $1500 scholarships to frmale residents of Christian County, who have completed at least one year of college work(twenty-four semester hours). The scholarships awards may be used by full or part-time students for graduate or undergraduate study for the Fall, 2018 semester. Judging based on academic recrd, future career goals, emp;loyment experience, school and community involvement, and financial need. Deadline for acceptance of completed applications is Friday, April 6, 2018. Application forms may be picked up at the TAylorville Public Library, The Taylorville office at Lincoln Land Community College, and Taylorville Chamber of Commerce.
