Linda Louise Larson, 79 of Taylorville, passed away at 1:00am on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at Taylorville Care Center.  She was born on June 13, 1941 in Joliet, the daughter of George E. and Mary L. (Wright) Flory.  She married Louis E. Larson on April 20, 1963 in Lockport.  He preceded her in death on November 5, 1995.  Linda earned her bachelor’s degree from Sangamon State University and then her master’s degree from the University of Illinois.  Linda worked for many years as a psychologist for Christian County Mental Health Association.  She was a member of the Taylorville First Presbyterian Church as well as the Moose Lodge, American Legion Auxiliary, and previously served as the president of the Area Agency on Aging.  She enjoyed sharing her talent of singing not only with her church, but also as a part of Harmony.  She enjoyed playing Bingo, cards, and quilting.  
Linda is survived by her daughter-in-law: Penny Larson of Taylorville; grandchildren: Aaron Larson (Tara) of Mt. Pulaski , Breanne Larson of Taylorville, and Cydnee Larson of Taylorville; great grandson: Braden Larson special family members: Carlos Richmond and Dustin Hensley.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son: Brian Larson; and brother: George Flory.
Mrs. Larson will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at McClure Funeral Home with Rev. Rodney Blomquist officiating.  Visitation will take place one hour prior to the services on Wednesday.  Inurnment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville. CDC health guidelines will be followed including social distancing and the use of masks.  Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or Trinity Lutheran Church, both in Taylorville.  McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.  Memories of Linda, or condolences to her family, may be shared online at
