44-year-old Henry Willis was arrested on Thursday on a charge of failing to appear or answer question.
On Friday, The Christian County Sheriff’s office reported the following traffic accidents to Regional Radio News:
60 year old Cindy Stockon of Palmer was in a car accident on Wednesday just after 6 o’clock in the evening. Stockon was traveling southbound on 600 east road when she struck a deer at approximately 1420 N road. She came to a stop on the road, and had damage to the front end of the car, but was able to drive away from the scene. There were no passengers in the car, and nobody was injured.
18 year old Spencer Litteral was in a car accident on June 20th at 11 o’clock at night. Litteral was traveling on county 2. Just west on Camp One Way a deer ran into the roadway. Litteral hit the deer causing damage to the vehicle. There were no passengers involved, and Spencer Litteral refused medical attention.

53-year-old Clifford Ballion of Taylorville was arrested Wednesday on a charge of driving while license was revoked or suspended.
36-year-old Samantha McPeek of Taylorville was arrested Wednesday on a charge of contempt of court.
58-year-old Patrick Cooper of Springfield was arrested Wednesday on a charge of driving while license was revoked or suspended.
36-year-old Theodore Fleming of Taylorville was arrested Wednesday on a charge of home invasion and unlawful use of a weapon.

28 year old Angela D. Yager of Springfield was arrested for driving on a suspended license.
On Wednesday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:
27 year old Nicole Jenkins of Raymond was traveling northbound on Webster Street. 27 year old Wayne Moore was traveling southbound on Webster and was in the turn lane to head west on Spresser. Jenkins disobeyed land markings and crossed thru the intersection and into coming traffic. Jenkins collided with the front end of Moore causing significant damage to both vehicles. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were towed from the scene. Jenkins was issued a citation for improper lane usage.
59 year old Ronald Wiltsie of Edinburg and Theresa Trulock 60 were heading eastbound on West Spresser. Trulock stopped in front of the intersection of West Spresser and North Shumway for the street light. Wiltsie failed to stop behind Trulock and struck Trulock from behind. Trulocks received dents and scratches to the rear bumper and truck door. Wiltsie's vehicle received dents to the front bumper and fender. Wiltsie received a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

23 year old Briar Samson of Taylorville was arrested on Monday for Methamphetamine manufacturing.
25 year old Jordan Young of Taylorville was arrested on Monday for aggravated assault use of a deadly weapon.

On June 21st, Valerie Lush, 39, of Morrisonville was south bound on County Highway 5 just south of township road 1400 North and a deer ran into the path. Lush struck the deer causing front end damage. No injuries were reported. Lush was driven from the scene.
On June 22nd, Mary Bohlen, 52, of Edinburg was traveling westbound on 2300 N. Road at approximately 1025 East and a deer ran into the roadway and Bohlen struck the deer with the front of her vehicle. Bohlen received damage to the front end of her vehicle and was towed away. the driver was unharmed.

On June 20th Melissa Crist, 34, of Taylorville was cited for illegal dumping.
On June 20th Nicole Conaway, 27, of Taylorville was arrested on a Christian County warrant.
On June 19th Dennis L. Mclaughlin, 63, of Owaneco and Ronald W. Smith, Jr. 58, of Chatham were involved in an accident. Smith stated he was stopped in traffic in the 600 block of East Park. Smith hit Mclaughlin from behind. Mclaughlin said he started to slow down when groceries fell from his seat. Smith looked down and was unable to stop in time to avoid hitting Mclaughlin. Smith's vehicle received front end damage and Mclaughin's rear end damage.
On June 20thJennifer Verardi, 47, of Taylorville and Debra Elllinger, 53, of Taylorville were involved in an accident. Verardi was heading west on Market Street approaching the Cheney street intersection. Ellinger was heading south on Cheney Street. Verardi disobeyed the stop sigh at the intersection and struck Ellinger's vehicle. No injuries were reported. Verardi wsa issued a citation for failure to yield at intersection.

On June 11th, Thomas E. Ade of Pana was driving on County Road 2100 East, when he crossed over a stream with a large culvert. As Ade cross the stream, the roadway collapsed due to extreme flooding. Ade’s vehicle dropped approximately four feet below the surface of the road and his interior was submerged in water. No injuries reported.

Niebrugge of Decatur was driving on Route 48 approaching the intersection with Shumway road. Follis failed to yield the intersection and collided with Niebrugge. No injuries reported. Follis was issued a citation for failure to yield the intersection.

On June 16th, Melinda R. McKinney of Taylorville was driving on Route 48 when McKinney became distracted inside the vehicle and ran off the road to the right, driving through a ditch and into a corn field, coming to a stop 96 feet into the corn field.

Kennedy went through the intersection and then Stockton attempted to clear the intersection. Stockton’s vehicle collided with Kennedy’s Car, causing damage to passenger door and wheel well. Weekly of Pana was approaching the intersection on US Highway 51 when Reed, saying he did not see any vehicles approaching, attempted to cross the intersection and struck Weekly’s vehicle causing front end damage. Weekley was taken to Taylorville Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries.
On Sunday, 23-year-old Kimberly N. Gatton of Taylorville was traveling eastbound on County Road 1800 North. As she approached the curve, Gatton’s brakes failed, causing her to drive off the road and enter a ditch. No injuries reported, Gatton’s vehicle was towed from the scene.

On Tuesday, 18-year-old Alexic T. Melton struck a deer on the passenger side of his vehicle while traveling north on Route 48. No injuries reported.
On Tuesday, 24-year-old David M. Brown of Stonington was driving south on county road 22. Brown says he then coughed and passed out at the wheel. The vehicle then traveled off the road, struck a ditch and came to rest in the bottom of the ditch. Brown was transported to Taylorville Memorial Medical center.

70-year-old John R. Weaver was driving on Spresser St. and turned left White St. when he lost engine power and power steering. Weaver ran over a stop sign and was towed to his residence. No injuries reported.
On May 31st Rachel E. Strobel of Ramsey braked suddenly for a red light on Park Street when Colin D. Sevener of Taylorville rear ended her. Strobel’s vehicle had rear end damage and Sevener’s vehicle received major front end damage.
On June 3rd, 20-year-old Erin E. Charles of Taylorville was driving through the McDonald’s parking lot when 35-year-old Brian T. Pennell backed into Charles and then fled the scene. Charles followed Pennell to a Christian Coutnty Quick Lube location where Pennell then fled on foot. Police located Pennell later on the 400 block of E. Esther Street in Taylorville and Pennell was issued mulitple citations.

On Saturday a stolen car was driving on 1600 East Road when it ran off the road way, struck the concrete culvert on the right side of the road. The vehicle came to rest in a field northeast of the intersection. When police arrived on the scene, a driver or passengers for the vehicle could not be found. At the scene, Police determined the car had recently been reported stolen and notified Louis R. Depaepe, the owner of the vehicle.
