32-year-old Joseph M. Besson of Palmer was arrested Wednesday for Failure to Appear. Bond was set at 40,000 dollars.

 

24- year-old Courtney R. Sellers of Mattoon was arrested Wednesday for Driving Under the Influence. Bond was set at 1,000 dollars.

 

32-year-old Brittany D. Cole of Taylorville was arrested Wednesday for Driving on a suspended license.

On Wednesday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrest to Regional Radio News:

 

26-year-old Steven P. Kious of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday for leaving the scene of an accident with vehicle damage and failure to give information after striking an unattended vehicle.

 

On Wednesday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:

 

34-year-old Andrew T. Carraher was turning from W. Spresser onto Houston St. when an unknown driver in a Red Dodge Interpid struck Carraher’s vehicle. The unknown driver then left the scene, leaving behind major damage to Carraher’s driver side door. No injuries or citations reported.

 

22-year-old Heather A. Watson was heading northbound on N. Cheney Street when 58-year old June A. Yates stopped for the flow of traffic. Watson failed to yield, rear ending Yates. Both cars received major damage. Yates was taken to Taylorville Memorial Hospital for a neck injury, while Watson was given a citation for failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

 

A 16-year-old minor was traveling on North Cheney Street when 66-year-old Larry L. Alaria stopped to let the car in front of him turn into Arby’s. The minor failed to stop, rear ending Alaria’s vehicle. The minor was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

 

An unknown driver struck 17-year-old Madyson H. Haller while changing lanes. The unknown driver then left the scene, driving north on Webster Avenue. Haller was able to drive away from the scene.

 

21-year-old Amanda N. Morgan was driving west on 104 when 36-year-old Kimberly J. England failed to yield. Morgan struck England’s vehicle. Both cars had to be towed from the scene, and England was issued a citation for failing to yield to oncoming traffic. Both England and Morgan were transported to Taylorville Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

18-year-old Preston J. Newingham of Kincaid was arrested Tuesday for Possession of Methamphetamine.

 

42-year-old Jamie L. McDonald of Shelbyville was arrested Tuesday. Bond was set at 3,500 dollars.

21-year-old Kenton W. Taber of Sullivan was arrested Sunday for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Bond was set 1,500 dollars.

 

37-year-old Jason W. Larke of Larose was arrested Sunday for Battery.

 

37-year-old Bryan E. Gordon of Bluffton, Indiana was arrested on Saturday for Battery.

 

50-year-old Melinda D. Kraut of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday for Possession for a Controlled Substance. Bond was set at 5,000 dollars.

On Tuesday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following accident to Regional Radio News:

 

17-year-old Makenna J. Green of Arthur was driving on Illinois State Route 29, when she came to stop to turn left onto 400 North Road. 27-year-old Joshua B. Reynolds of Pana failed to stop and crashed into the rear bumper of Green’s vehicle, pushing Green’s vehicle 75 feet from the intersection, and causing Reynolds’ vehicle to land on the driver’s side door. Both Green and Reynolds were taken to Pana Community Hospital with minor injuries. Reynolds was given a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

 

Ashley M. Broccardo was driving E 2550 North Road when she dropped food into the floorboard of her vehicle, when reached down to get the food, the vehicle pulled left into a mailbox, causing damage to both the vehicle and the mailbox. No citation issued.

 

21-year-old Brandon T. Edwards of Effingham was driving on Illinois Route 29, approaching an intersection. Edwards was pulling a flatbed trailer behind his vehicle and began to break because of the flow of the traffic. Edwards then locked up his brakes and maneuvered towards the ditch to avoid striking any other vehicles. Edwards left 165 feet of skid marks before coming to stop with only minimal damage.

55-year-old Sandra J. Smalley of Nokomis was driving on US Highway 51 in Pana at 1:24 pm on Saturday when a deer struck her car. No injuries reported.

 

70-year-old Jean M. Weiscope of Warrensburg was driving on Illinois Route 51 in Assumption and when a deer entered the roadway. The deer struck Weiscope’s vehicle in the front, driver’s side panel and then impacted the driver’s door. Weiscope was transported to Decatur Memorial Hospital for treatment of possible injuries.

34-year-old Crystal L. Hatley of Taylorville was stopped at the intersection of Cheney Street and W. Spresser Street when Hatley backed her vehicle up to give room for a semi tractor trailer to turn. In backing up, Hatley contacted the front bumper of 24-year-old Steven P. Kious of Taylorville, casing minor damage to both cars. No injuries reported.

 

Kimberly L. Wright of La Place was traveling east on Springfield Road and stopped at the intersection of Springfield and Cheney Street. 18-year-old Charity L. Murphy failed to stop in time and struck Wright’s vehicle. Both vehicles were able to drive away from the scene and no injuries were reported.

42-year-old Leroy E. Miles of Springfield was arrested on Monday for failure to appear and/or answer question and was issued a bond of 25,000.

20-year-old Ethan M. Woodward of Moweaqua was issued two citations following a crash in the overnight hours of May 13th, where Woodward was northbound on township road 2700E, struck a bridge, flipped over and ended up in the field on the west side of the road. Woodward left the scene of the accident but returned the next day. No injuries reported.

20-year-old Abigail M. Cash of Taylorville was arrested on Sunday for Underage Consumption of Liquor.

 

On Monday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:

 

17-year-old Lakota A. Clark of Palmer was driving on County Highway 6 at 2:18 am on Saturday morning, when driver drove off the road into a ditch. The driver then struck a culvert, becoming airborne with the vehicle turning over before resting on its top. Clark was transported to Memorial Medical Center.

 

24-year-old Joseph T. Gunning of Taylorville was traveling north on Reimer Avenue, when Gunning veered off the roadway and struck the culvert for the driveway of a residence. The vehicle overturned, coming to rest of its top in the roadway. No injuries reported. Gunning was issued citation for not having a valid driver’s license, not having insurance and a suspended registration.

72-year-old Linda L. Micek l of Pana was backing up to to make a missed turn at Cherry Street unaware 20-year-old Taylor N. Strom was behind her. Micek’s vehicle struck Strom’s vehicle and caused damage to the front hood and bumper.

34-year-old Darrell L. Devore Jr. of Taylorville was traveling east bound on E. Park St. when he failed to reduce speed and rear-ended 63-year-old Glen D. Ryerson of Assumption. No injuries were reported and Devore Jr. was issued a citation to failure to reduce speed to avoid a collision.

36-year-old Jessica R. Ashcraft of Pana was driving westbound on Second St. approaching Sheridan St. Saturday. 36-year-old Sarah E. Scoles of Pana was facing westbound on Second St. waiting to turn left onto Sheridan. Ashcraft did not see Scoles stopped and rear-ended her vehicle. Ashcraft was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.

27-year-old Tylour S. Howard of Springfield was arrested Friday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $5,000.


49-year-old Tammy R. Durbin of Stonington was arrested Friday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $5,000.


25-year-old Amber N. Durbin of Divernon was arrested Friday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $2,500.


35-year-old Carissa N. Villegas of Edinburg was arrested Friday for Battery.


30-year-old Samuel R. Fortner of Assumption was arrested Monday for Domestic Battery.


On Monday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:


40-year-old Johnathan T. Pearson of Taylorville was driving eastbound on 200 N. Rd. May 6. At approximately 1650 E., Pearson’s vehicle traveled off the roadway and hit a concrete bridge. The vehicle continued, hit a utility box and went into a planted field. His vehicle went through the field and into a ditch about 30 yards from the roadway. Pearson was not on scene when the crash was reported.


26-year-old Morgan A. Cox of Blue Mound was driving northbound on Route 48 behind 25-year-old Kaitlyn R. Roy of Decatur Thursday. Cox did not see Roy slowing to turn into a driveway at 1724 N. Cox rear-ended Roy’s vehicle. No one was hurt.


A 15-year-old was driving westbound on County Road 600 N. Thursday. The 15-year-old did not slow down while approaching the intersection with 2300 E. Rd. The vehicle traveled across 2300 E. Rd. and into the ditch, striking the embankment and came to rest in the ditch. The 15-year-old had two other passengers in the vehicle. All three were taken to Pana Community Hospital via ambulance for their injuries.


32-year-old Whitney M. Harris of Decatur was driving northbound on 2200 E. Rd. Sunday. Harris failed to yield at the T-intersection 1880 N. Rd. and drove into a planted bean field. She left the scene of the crash and came back while police were on scene. Harris says she did not remember crashing and does not know what time it occured. Harris was cited for the accident.

29-year-old Daniel M. Guarnieri of Taylorville was arrested Tuesday for Driving While License Suspended.

 

On Wednesday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:

 

30-year-old Bradley D. Williams of Taylorville was driving southbound Walnut St. at the intersection with E. Park St. May 1. Williams started into the intersection attempting to turn right when the tire of the small trailer he was pulling struck the curbing, causing the trailer to start to tip towards traffic. Williams said he felt the trailer turning over and he accelerated in an attempt to avoid the trailer striking the vehicle of 62-year-old Jacklyn K. Broaddus of Taylorville. The trailer did tip over and struck Broaddus’s vehicle on the driver side rear top of the vehicle. The trailer was disconnected and a towing service was contacted to turn the trailer over.

 

26-year-old Drew R. Carls of Taylorville was driving a city fire apparatus westbound on E. Park St. May 2 when he attempted to turn left onto N. Walnut St. 59-year-old James T. Eiskant of Taylorville was stopped at the same intersection heading northbound on Walnut. Carls tried to fit the turn without striking Eiskant’s vehicle, but could not avoid his vehicle and struck it. A witness behind Eiskant’s vehicle told police that she believed the fire truck came around the corner fast, but also that she believed Eiskant’s vehicle was over the white line at the intersection. She said the collision barely moved Eiskant’s vehicle and thought the damage would be minimal.

47-year-old Tonya S. Claxon of Pana was backing from a parking spot at Casey’s Monday when she struck the vehicle of 29-year-old Ashley K. Keeling of Pana. No one was hurt and both vehicles had minor damage.

On Tuesday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrest to Regional Radio News:

 

24-year-old Freida M. McCauley of Taylorville was arrested Sunday for Retail Theft.

 

26-year-old Ashley L. Wareham of Stonington was arrested Monday for Ratail Theft.

 

On Tuesday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News:


30-year-old Phillip J. Carter of Kincaid was arrested Monday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $3,500.


37-year-old Sarah J. Harlow of Pana was arrested Monday for Driving on a Suspended/Revoked License.


On Tuesday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:


56-year-old Patricia A. Jornlin of Kincaid was driving westbound on Route 104 on May 1 when a deer ran into the roadway. She struck the deer, but was not hurt.


42-year-old Mandy L. Walsh of Kincaid was attempting to drive between a gas pump at the Kincaid Phillips 66 and a truck owned by Bradley E. Babbs of Bulpitt. The truck had a trailer attached pulling a fishing boat. Walsh side-swiped the trailer while pulling through. No injuries were reported. Walsh was arrested for DUI.

43-year-old Heather D. Miller of Springfield was cited for illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver on Route 16 near the Route 128 south intersection.

 

5/5 - Village of Tower Hill

 

47-year-old David K. Hester of Pana was cited for illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver on Craddick St. in Tower Hill. He was also cited for no insurance.

 

5/5 - City of Shelbyville

 

36-year-old Tashina Routien of Herrick was arrested for driving while license suspended on Spruce St. in Shelbyville near W. Main St.

On Monday, the Pana Police Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News:

 

20-year-old Gerald J. Powysznski of Pana was arrested Friday for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Retail Theft Less Than $150.

 

19-year-old Theadocia N. Ginder of Pana was arrested Friday for Retail Theft.

 

On Monday, the Pana Police Department reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:

 

27-year-old Amanda N. Williams of Pana was parking her vehicle at Walmart Friday when she failed to put the vehicle in park. She exited the vehicle and it rolled forward striking the vehicle of 82-year-old Roscoe V. Davis of Pana. No one was hurt.

 

21-year-old Alyssa J. Helm of Assumption was backing from a parking spot in the 200 block of E. First St. Saturday at the same time as 28-year-old Jessica L. Brozio of Pana. Helm struck the passenger side of Brozio’s vehicle. No one was hurt.

31-year-old Danielle M. Weinert of Taylorville was arrested Friday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $3,000.


40-year-old Nicolas R. Dooley of Pana was arrested Sunday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $6,000.


29-year-old Trisha L. Barror of Pawnee was arrested Sunday for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.


42-year-old Mandy Walsh of Kincaid was arrested Sunday for DUI Alcohol/Drugs.


On Monday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following accident to Regional Radio News:


30-year-old Adam M. Hammers of Irving was driving eastbound on Route 16 Friday. At approximately 1950 East, Hammers said something was in the middle of the road and he struck it with the front end of his vehicle. He says he could not tell what the object was. There was damage to his vehicle, but it was not towed.

On Friday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following accident to Regional Radio News:

 

19-year-old Kiersten R. Livingston of Taylorville was driving southbound on N. Cheney St. Wednesday behind 43-year-old Jean A. Oller of Taylorville. Oller was stopped for traffic and Livingston did not reduce speed and rear-ended Oller’s vehicle. The passenger in Oller’s vehicle suffered a minor injury but refused medical treatment. Livingston was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.

 

On Friday, the Pana Police Department reported the following arrest to Regional Radio News:


45-year-old Shawn B. Harshini of Pana was arrested Thursday for Failing to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident, Operating an Uninsured Vehicle, and Leaving the Scene of an Accident.

58-year-old Leslie R. Aucoin of Pana was facing southbound on Locust St. at 2nd St. Wednesday. 74-year-old Barbara K. Stevenson of Pana was behind Aucoin on Locust St. Aucoin began backing up to avoid a semi tractor trailer turning northbound onto Locust from 2nd in front of Aucoin’s vehicle. Aucoin backed into Stevenson’s vehicle.

 

On Friday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News:


20-year-old Joshua E. Boyd of Ocala, FL was arrested Wednesday for Criminal Damage to Property and Consumption of Liquor as a Minor.


40-year-old Orville B. Craig of Kincaid was arrested Thursday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant.


On Friday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following accident to Regional Radio News:


17-year-old Andrew S. Duby of Morrisonville was driving southwest on Route 48 Wednesday when he traveled off the roadway to the right and into the ditch. Duby struck the ditch and overturned, coming to rest on the driver’s side of the vehicle. Duby and his passenger refused medical treatment on scene. Duby’s vehicle was towed from the scene.

31-year-old Casey D. Denton of Pana was arrested Monday on a Christian County warrant.

 

33-year-old Jennie E. Easter of Pana was arrested Thursday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $2,500.

 

On Thursday, the Pana Police Department reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:

 

23-year-old Joshua A. Palmer of Pana was stopped southbound on Locust Street when he started backing to avoid an oncoming vehicle Monday. While backing, Palmer struck the vehicle of 93-year-old Charles D. Weers of Pana. No one was hurt.

 

A 16-year-old from Tower Hill was driving westbound on First St. Tuesday. 38-year-old Dustin M. Moore of Pana was stopped preparing to turn south on Vine when the 16-year-old failed to reduce speed and rear-ended Moore’s vehicle. The 16-year-old was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

 

58-year-old Susan M. Mrosko of Pana hit a parked vehicle on private property on W. 4th St. Wednesday. Mrosko was cited for Operating an Uninsured Vehicle.

28-year-old Nathan B. Zepin of Taylorville was arrested Monday on an active warrant for Contempt of Court. Bond is set at $100.

 

On Tuesday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following accident to Regional Radio News:

 

18-year-old Jacob T. Boehme of Taylorville was driving northbound on N. Webster Monday when he lost control of his vehicle, causing the vehicle to overturn and collide with the roadway. The vehicle received minor damage to the left rear frame. He took a private vehicle to Taylorville Memorial Hospital for his injuries.

 

On Tuesday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrest to Regional Radio News:


31-year-old Casey D. Denton of Pana was arrested Monday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $10,000.


On Tuesday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following accident to Regional Radio News:


37-year-old Stacey A. Wilson of Pawnee was driving northbound on County Highway 23 Monday. Just past 2500 N. Rd., she crossed the center line and left the roadway to the left. She veered back over the center line and then proceeded in a northwest direction towards the west ditch. She traveled almost 100 feet in the west ditch before overcorrecting and coming back on the roadway. While coming back on the road, Wilson’s vehicle began rotating counter-clockwise while continuing to travel northeast. Her vehicle then entered the east ditch, struck the ditch, and eventually overturned and landed in a planted field on its top. The vehicle received total damage. Wilson was taken to Memorial Medical Center by Sutton’s Ambulance for treatment.
