32-year-old Jacob C. Krouse of Pana was arrested Thursday for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Methamphetamine.

43-year-old Robert C. Zahradka of Pana was cited Thursday for No Valid Driver’s License.


24-year-old Zachary E. Jarnagin of Peoria was cited Thursday for Operating an Uninsured Vehicle.


On Friday, the Pana Police Department reported the following accident to Regional Radio News:


25-year-old Samantha N. Smith of Pana was driving northbound on 2300 E. Rd. Thursday, turning left onto 320 N Rd. Smith failed to yield to 51-year-old Rajiv P. Narielwa of Springfield and struck the front passenger side of his vehicle. Smith was cited for failure to yield turning left.

47-year-old Randall C. Smith of Taylorville was arrested Wednesday for Driving While License Suspended.

 

27-year-old Brianne L. Hughes of Taylorville was arrested Wednesday on a Christian County Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $10,000.

 

On Thursday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News:


19-year-old Rodney D. Sizemore of Taylorville was arrested Saturday for Escape as a Felon. Bond is set at $250,000.


23-year-old Mackenzie J. Brion of Taylorville was arrested Saturday for Escape as a Felon. Bond is set at $250,000.


On Thursday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:


A 16-year-old female was driving eastbound on Illinois Route 104 just east of Kincaid Wednesday. She left the roadway to the right side. She traveled 120 feet off the roadway before striking a tree with the right side of the vehicle. She came to rest facing west. She was transported to St. John’s Hospital via ambulance. Her car was towed from the scene.


19-year-old Victoria A. Fikan of Oakley was driving northbound on Route 29 Wednesday, following 64-year-old Mary E. Morrell. A third vehicle was pulling off the roadway and Morrell was slowing to yield to that vehicle, but Fikan did not see Morrell slowing down. Fikan rear-ended Morrell’s vehicle. No injuries were reported at the scene. Fikan’s vehicle was towed from the scene. Morrell’s vehicle did not need to be towed.


19-year-old Alli B. Richards of Taylorville was driving eastbound on 1700 N. Rd. Wednesday, approaching County Highway 22. 51-year-old Julie A. Le Beane of Mt. Auburn was driving northbound on County Highway 22 near the intersection with 1700 N. Rd. Richards failed to stop at the stop sign and entered the intersection. Le Beane noticed Richards in the intersection and swerved to avoid a collision. She did not hit Richard’s vehicle, but she lost control of the vehicle. She went onto the east side shoulder, overcorrected and continued into the ditch on the west side of the road. Le Beane continued in the ditch, striking a utility pole, and then went into a dirt field, rolling over one complete time before coming to rest on its wheels. No injuries were reported.

20-year-old Dakota L. Allen of Taylorville was arrested Monday on a Coles County warrant.

 

A 15-year-old male juvenile was arrested Monday for Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver.

 

On Wednesday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:

 

17-year-old Taylor C. Hodson of Taylorville was driving northbound on Walnut St. Thursday, stopping at the intersection with Market St. 26-year-old Matthew J. Daigh of Taylorville was driving eastbound on Market St. and stopping at the same intersection. Daigh proceeded through the intersection when Hodson struck the passenger side of his vehicle. Hodson was cited for Failure to Yield at an Intersection.

 

30-year-old Elizzabeth K. DeClerck of Taylorville was driving westbound on Main Cross St. Saturday. 30-year-old Ashley L. Peden of Pawnee was driving northbound on Cheney St. stopping at the intersection with Main Cross St. Peden proceeded through the intersection but DeClerck did not stop at the stop sign and struck Peden’s vehicle on the passenger side. DeClerck was cited for Failure to Yield at an Intersection.

24-year-old Haylee J. Taylor of Pana was arrested Thursday for Criminal Damage to Property and on a Christian County warrant.


23-year-old Trent D. Jones of Pana was arrested Friday on an Illinois Department of Corrections warrant.


31-year-old Royal M. Jackson of Pana was arrested Monday for Domestic Battery.

25-year-old Danielle E. Patnode of Pana was arrested Friday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $10,000.


41-year-old Shannon M. Miller of Pana was arrested Friday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $10,000.


29-year-old Kregg M. Bandy of Morrisonville was arrested Saturday for Obstructing a Peace Officer. Bond is set at $1,500.


26-year-old Jacob C. Noren of Taylorville was arrested Sunday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $250.


24-year-old Desiree S. Neal of Decatur was arrested Monday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $3,000.


On Wednesday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:


46-year-old Johnny M. Scott of Mt. Auburn was driving westbound on County Highway 2 Thursday. At approximately 650 East, his back driver’s side tire blew and he lost control of his vehicle. He went off the roadway to the north, overturned twice down into the ditch. His vehicle came to rest facing east on the passenger side of the vehicle. He was not hurt.


29-year-old Katherine J. Weber of Palmer was driving southbound on County Highway 1 Sunday. At approximately 1175 North, she lost control on an icy surface of a bridge. Her front bumper hit the west bridge rail, and then continued to spin and hit the rear bumper on the rail. Weber was not hurt and she was able to drive away from the scene.


56-year-old Bradley A. Arndt of Stonington was driving westbound on County Highway 4 Sunday. He was unable to slow down to make a turn due to road conditions. He slid into the west ditch and the vehicle ended up on its side before rolling back on its wheels. Two people were taken to the hospital via ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.


43-year-old Beth A. Smith of Chesterfield, MO, was driving northbound on Rt. 48 Sunday when she overturned on the east side of the roadway while attempting to stop. Her vehicle was towed from the scene.


Lucas R. McElroy of Assumption was driving eastbound on County Highway 6 near Assumption Sunday. At approximately 2600 East, he lost control of the vehicle due to road conditions. He left the roadway to the north, overturned and came to rest on the passenger side of the vehicle. He was not injured, but his vehicle was towed from the scene.

33-year-old Hector Canul of Taylorville was arrested Wednesday for No Valid Drivers’ License.

 

On Thursday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:

 

35-year-old Samantha L. McPeek of Decatur was backing out of a private drive in the 400 block of E. Adams St Friday. The vehicle of Alicia A. Pattoarozzi of Taylorville was parked across the street. McPeek backed up and struck Pattoarozzi’s vehicle. McPeek left the scene and was later located and cited.

 

At an unknown time of night on Sunday, a Ford F-250 was traveling westbound on W. Main Cross when it struck the vehicle of Savannah M. Morgan of Taylorville. The driver of the F-250 has been identified as 37-year-old Jason Krouse of Taylorville, but he has not been located since the crash. There was major damage done to Morgan’s vehicle.

 

90-year-old Florence M. Werner of Pana was driving southbound on Cheney St. Monday, looking to turn into Arby’s. 57-year-old Deborah R. Brozio of Taylorville was driving northbound on Cheney St. in the right turn lane to turn onto Springfield Rd. Werner says she did not see Brozio’s vehicle, and she hit the side of the vehicle during her left turn. No one was injured. Werner was cited for Improper Lane Usage.

On Wednesday, a complainant reported the theft of a Land of Lincoln Credit Union Check that was taken from his checkbook. After reviewing bank statements, he discovered that the check had been forged and used to purchase merchandise at a local business. The case is under investigation.


On Thursday, a complainant reported the theft of an Xbox game console and approximately ten Xbox games were taken from a residence in the 500 block of S. Clark St. sometime between December 19th and December 21st. The case is under investigation.

23-year-old Colton R. White of Stonington was driving northbound on 1800 E. Rd. Monday when a deer came into the roadway at approximately 1600 North. White struck the deer with the front of his vehicle, and the deer went under his vehicle as well. White’s vehicle did not have to be towed from the scene.

91-year-old Nola L. Sanders of Ramsey was driving southbound on Hickory St. Wednesday, waiting to turn left onto Jackson St. 45-year-old Jason B. Waldmire of Rochester was executing a left turn onto Jackson St. when he heard his vehicle make contact with Sanders’ vehicle. A witness also said Waldmire was making a left turn onto Jackson St. Sanders was on the left side of Waldmire outside of the southbound lane of traffic also attempting to turn left, causing the collision with Waldmire. Sanders was cited for Improper Overtaking.


42-year-old Willie Barnes of Jacksonville, FL was backing into a parking space at the Rosebud Motel & Cafe Wednesday when he backed into the cargo portion of the vehicle driven by 64-year-old Donald Nicholes of Lakeland, FL.


56-year-old Lori A. Hutchinson of Tower Hill was pulling forward from a parking space in the 1300 block of E. Jackson and turned too sharply as she pulled out. The rear-passenger side wheel of her vehicle collided with the front driver side fender of the vehicle owned by 51-year-old Richard A. Dilley of Oconee.


88-year-old Janice D. Guyot of Nokomis struck the vehicle driven by 62-year-old Donna S. Fore of Pana at the intersection of Locust St. and Main St. on Friday. Guyot was cited for Failure to Yield at a Stop Intersection.


51-year-old Thomas L. Lynch of Dalton City, IL was driving southbound in reverse from the southside of the Lake Lawn Inn Friday. The vehicle of 69-year-old Wanda L. Karnes of Tower Hill was parked in the parking lot. Lynch struck Karnes’ vehicle while backing.


17-year-old Fayth A. Stout of Pana was southbound on Locust St. Friday, stopped at a red-light at 2nd St. behind 68-year-old Harriet L. Olson of Tower Hill. The light turned green and Stout proceeded forward, rear-ending Olson’s vehicle.


18-year-old Camryn M. Boarman of Tower Hill was backing up in the 300 block of W. 3rd St. Friday. He struck the vehicle of Emily Deere of Pana.

57-year-old Cheryl M. Markwardt of Mt. Auburn was driving eastbound on County Rd. 2 December 3. At about 1720 E., a deer entered the roadway from the north. Markwardt hit the deer, but she was not hurt.


31-year-old Justin R. Handy of Moweaqua was driving westbound on 1900 N. Rd. Friday when a deer entered the roadway. Handy could not avoid the deer and struck it. He was not hurt.


65-year-old Gilbert J. Long of Palmer was driving northbound on County Rd. 1 Monday. Long says a deer ran into the roadway and he was unable to avoid striking the animal. He was not hurt.

On Wednesday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following accident to Regional Radio News:

 

17-year-old Adam M. Downing of Taylorville stated that on Friday, he and three 16-year-old passengers were doing doughnuts in the field near Illinois Route 29 and 1600 N Rd. Downing said as they went to turn, he lost control of the vehicle, and the truck rolled on its side, causing airbags to deploy. No one was hurt. Downing was issued a citation for reckless driving, and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

80-year-old Frances Allen of Pana was backing onto Ninth St. from the 700 block of Fair Ave. December 6th. The vehicle of 77-year-old Patricia A. Holthaus was legally parked facing east on the south side of Ninth St. Allen struck Holthaus’ vehicle while backing. No one was hurt.


62-year-old Katherine A. Berner of Ramsey was in the Walmart parking lot Friday when she struck a concrete filled steel post, causing major damage to her vehicle. She was not hurt.

On Monday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:


43-year-old Shane P. Lawrence of Shelbyville was driving southbound on the bike path paralelling Illinois Route 29 on November 16. He struck a wooden post on the bike path and came to rest on 600 N. Road. Lawrence refused medical treatment. His vehicle had to be towed from the scene. Lawrence was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash and was cited.


37-year-old Teresa L. Lovekamp of Pawnee was driving eastbound on 1400 North Rd. Friday when a deer ran out into the roadway. She could not avoid the deer and struck the deer. Lovekamp was not hurt.


46-year-old Michael D. Wareham of Taylorville was driving eastbound on Route 104 Sunday. Just past 000 E. Rd., a deer ran into the roadway. He could not avoid the deer and struck it. Wareham was not hurt.

21-year-old Luke T. Molen of Taylorville was driving eastbound on West Main Cross St. Sunday when he left the roadway and drove through a utility pole. He came back onto the roadway and came to rest in the eastbound lane landing on the driver’s side of the vehicle. Molen was outside of the vehicle when officers arrived. Molen went to Taylorville Memorial Hospital for his injuries. He admitted to drinking and was cited for DUI-Alcohol and Improper Lane Usage.

 

49-year-old Kimberly L. Emerson of Taylorville was westbound on Main Cross St. preparing to turn onto Park St. Thursday. She was following behind 61-year-old Joyce E. Lush of Taylorville. As Lush stopped to make the turn, Emerson did not stop in time and rear-ended Lush’s vehicle. No one was hurt, and both vehicles were able to drive away from the scene.

On Thursday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following accident to Regional Radio News:


A 16-year-old from Pana was driving northbound on Route 51 Monday. At approximately 500 N., the driver went off the roadway into the west ditch, striking a field entrance and causing the vehicle to go airborne. The vehicle came to rest on the north side of the field entrance. The 16-year-old was taken to to Pana Community Hospital via ambulance for injuries to the mouth and head. The driver said the vehicle turned off while he was driving and the driver jerked the wheel when the vehicle started to malfunction.

On Wednesday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:

 

19-year-old Jacob D. Hall of Taylorville was driving westbound on Route 48 Saturday when a deer ran into the roadway. Hall overcorrected and ended up crossing the opposite lane of traffic before leaving the roadway. Hall crashed into some trees after leaving the road. Hall admitted to drinking alcohol and believes that is what caused he reaction to be slowed. Hall’s vehicle was towed from the scene.

 

42-year-old Bradley A. Johnson of Taylorville was driving westbound on Spresser Street Monday, following behind 18-year-old Allison J. Wright of Taylorville. Wright slowed to turn right onto Taylorville Blvd. Johnson says he looked down to plug his phone in and when he looked up, he saw Wright stopped. He could not avoid striking Wright and rear-ended her vehicle. Wright was taken to Taylorville Memorial Hospital via ambulance.

 

A 16-year-old came to Taylorville Police Tuesday and reported that at approximately 2:40 Tuesday, a hit-and-run occured at the intersection of Shawnee and Stevenson. She said the unknown vehicle disobeyed the traffic signal and struck the front bumper of their vehicle. The 16-year-old was unable to get a license plate from the vehicle, but said it was either a dark blue or black four-door truck. The 16-year-old said the truck slowed down but continued down the road, turning west onto Bidwell Street. TPD could not locate the unknown vehicle. A resident on E. Stevenson St. witnessed the accident, but could not provide further information on the vehicle.

Deputies located a reported underage drinking party at a residence near the intersection of 886N and 1400E. Deputies arrested 12 underaged persons for illegal consumption of alcohol and many other suspected underage persons fled the rural area on foot upon deputies arrival. Efforts are being made to identify these persons.

34-year-old Alexis L. Wells of Pana was arrested Sunday for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

 

36-year-old Lorna Smith of Taylorville was arrested Sunday on a Christian County Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $25,000.

On Monday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:

 

A 16-year-old male was driving westbound on Springfield Rd. on November 25, turning left onto Cheney St. 51-year-old Niccole A. Anselm of Taylorville was turning left with a green arrow, the 16-year-old came through the red light and struck the passenger side of Anselm’s vehicle. The impact of the crash pushed Anselm’s vehicle into a third vehicle waiting to turn left from Cheney St. onto Springfield Rd. The driver of unit 3 said that he saw the 16-year-old on his cell phone prior to the crash. Anselm was transported to Taylorville Memorial Hospital via ambulance. The 16-year-old’s vehicle and Anselm’s vehicle were towed from the scene. The 16-year-old was cited for reckless driving and failure to yield at an intersection.

 

67-year-old Kathleen A. Fritcher of Taylorville was driving eastbound on Main Cross St. Friday, stopping at the stop sign at the intersection with Shumway St. 45-year-old Michael A. Mathias of Taylorville was driving southbound on Shumway St., stopping at the same intersection. Mathias proceeded through the stop sign and so did Fritcher, causing Fritcher to strike the passenger side of Mathias’ vehicle. No one was hurt. Fritcher was cited for disobeying the stop sign and failing to yield to traffic.

 

26-year-old Amanda D. Johanningmeier of Taylorville was driving southbound on Briarcliff Rd. Friday, approaching the bridge across the creek. Witnesses say Johanningmeier was driving erratically and approximately at 50 mph in a 30 mph zone. She swerved off the roadway, traveled along the ditch, sideswiped a utility pole, missed the bridge and struck the creek bank. The vehicle then overturned after striking the creek bank. Johanningmeier was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extracted by the Taylorville Fire Department. She was transported to Memorial Medical Center for her injuries. She was arrested for Reckless Driving and DUI.

 

Late Saturday or early Sunday, an unknown vehicle struck the vehicle of Michael A. O’Bryan of Taylorville while it was parked in the employee parking lot at Walmart. O’Bryan says that the crash occurred sometime between 11 p.m. Saturday and 4 a.m. Sunday. O’Bryan was able to drive from the scene.

 

On Monday, the Pana Police Department reported the following arrests and incident to Regional Radio News:

 

A complainant reported that occurred sometime between 5 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of N. Elm St., an unknown person, possibly using a pellet or BB gun, broke the back door glass of his house. The glass was valued at $200. The case is under investigation.

 

25-year-old Brittany L. Henry of Nokomis was arrested Thursday for Failure to Appear - Larceny.

 

21-year-old Tanner M. Demascal of Assumption was arrested Friday for Driving While License Suspended and Operating an Uninsured Vehicle.

 

28-year-old Curtis M. Fuess of Moweaqua was arrested Monday for Operating an Uninsured Vehicle.

 

On Monday, the Pana Police Department reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:

 

75-year-old Judith A. Holthaus of Pana was driving southbound on Cedar St., stopped at the stop sign with Third St. Wednesday. 42-year-old Jody L. Hill of Rosamond was driving westbound on Third St. approaching the intersection with Cedar St. Holthaus did not see Hill and began to pull into the intersection, striking Hill’s passenger side. Holthaus admitted fault for the accident. No one was injured.

 

17-year-old Hannah E. Sanders of Pana was driving on E. Jackson St. near Pana Bowl Saturday when she struck the vehicle of 26-year-old Shelby C. Morrison of Rosamond. No one was hurt, Sanders was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.

29-year-old Scott J. Dean of Taylorville was arrested Saturday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $5,000.

 

33-year-old Kimberly A. Webb of Taylorville was arrested Saturday for Obstructing Justice. Bond is set at $7,500.

27-year-old Jacob R. Hubbartt of Pana was backing in the Taylorville Prison parking lot Thursday when he backed into the vehicle of Nathan W. Franklin of Rochester. The two drivers exchanged information and Franklin reported the accident after his shift that day. No one was injured.

56-year-old Diana D. Banning of Cowden was driving southbound on Route 29 on November 23 when a deer came into the roadway. She could not avoid the deer and struck it. She was not hurt.

 

69-year-old John T. Fournier of Pana was driving westbound on Park Street approaching the intersection with Paw Paw Street on November 24. 53-year-old Julia A. Keown of Shelbyville had slowed to turn at that intersection. There was a parked car between Fournier and Keown. Fournier passed the parked car but then rear-ended Keown’s vehicle. Fournier was not hurt. Keown was taken to Taylorville Memorial Hospital via ambulance and her car was towed from the scene. Fournier was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

 

89-year-old Dena M. Hardegan of Taylorville was attempting to turn onto southbound Springfield Road Wednesday but she did not see the vehicle of 30-year-old Heather N. Boblitt approaching. Hardegan struck the passenger side of Boblitt’s vehicle. Hardegan was cited for failing to yield.

38-year-old Kimberly S. Elder of Kincaid was driving westbound on Route 104 at about 850 East Wednesday when a deer entered the roadway. Elder hit the deer, but was not hurt. Her vehicle had to be towed from the scene.


A 16-year-old female from Taylorville was northbound on 1600 E. Rd. on November 22 and 56-year-old Robert M. Pollard of Pana was northbound on Route 29. The 16-year-old failed to yield at the intersection and struck the left side of Pollard’s vehicle. The 16-year-old’s vehicle spund around and ended up in the ditch on the southside of Route 29. The 16-year-old was taken to Taylorville Memorial Hospital via ambulance for non-life threatening injuries. Pollard was taken to the hospital via personal vehicle. The 16-year-old was cited for failure to yield at an intersection.
