On Thursday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrest to Regional Radio News:

 

20-year-old Shiloh K. Thomas of Taylorville was arrested Wednesday on a Christian County Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $5,000.

 

On Thursday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News:


32-year-old Katherine L. O’Dell of Stonington was arrested Wednesday on a Bond Forefeiture warrant. Bond is set at $2,500.


22-year-old Kelsie M. Bass of Nokomis was arrested Thursday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $5,000.

On Wednesday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:

 

59-year-old Harvey D. Presnell, Jr. of Pana was backing a concrete mixer into a residential construction area in the 900 block of W. Rich St. Tuesday. He backed the mixer into a utility pole with the concrete chute, causing the wires to come down and knocking out power to the area. Live power lines were down and residents were notified by Taylorville Fire Department. No injuries were reported.

 

29-year-old Nathan K. Peck of Taylorville was exiting Hillcrest Trailer Court onto E. Main Cross St. Tuesday when an unknown vehicle struck his vehicle. The unknown vehicle continued eastbound on E. Main Cross and did not stop. Peck continued from the scene of impact until he stopped at the intersection of E. Park and McAdam, where he contacted Taylorville Police. Peck described the car as a white vehicle of unknown make or model.

 

53-year-old Robert D. Campbell was driving westbound on Northern Avenue Saturday. He was slowed to make a left turn onto North Sportsman Drive. An unknown vehicle was following Campbell and two school busses. When the vehicles slowed to turn, the unknown vehicle changed lanes and passed both busses and Campbell. The unknown vehicle swerved back into the westbound lane and struck the front of Campbell’s vehicle.

 

On Wednesday, the Pana Police Department reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:

 

77-year-old Roger E. Day of Springfield was driving westbound on Washington Street, getting ready to turn left onto Locust Street Monday. He failed to yield to 65-year-old Dennis W. Dilley of Pana who was eastbound on Washington. Dilley struck Day on the passenger side. Day was issued a citation for failure to yield while turning left and and Dilley was issued a citation for operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

 

 

20-year-old Shelby L. Craig of Oconee was backing from a driveway in the 300 block of South Clark St. Tuesday. She struck the car of 47-year-old Kermit N. Carrell while in reverse. Craig was cited for improper backing.

23-year-old Zachery Morgason of Springfield was arrested Tuesday for Driving on a Suspended/Revoked License. Bond is set at $1,500.


49-year-old (50-year-old on Thursday) Melinda D. Mahone of Taylorville was arrested Tuesday for Driving on a Suspended/Revoked License, DUI - Alcohol, and Possession of Methamphetamine.


51-year-old Edward R. Northcraft of Morristown, Tennessee was arrested Tuesday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $10,000.

On Tuesday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:

 

34-year-old Mark A. Schaefer of Taylorville was driving on North Street Thursday when he saw 21-year-old Dalton K. Perry of Pana speaking with Schaefer’s wife in her minivan. As Schaefer was backing up, he did not realize that Perry had moved and he hit Perry. Schaefer left the scene of the accident but then returned a few minutes later as EMS arrived. Perry was transported to Taylorville Memorial Hospital via a personal car. Schaefer was arrested for Failure to Give Aid and given a citation for Improper Backing.

 

53-year-old Robert D. Campbell was driving westbound on Northern Avenue Saturday. He was slowed to make a left turn onto North Sportsman Drive. An unknown vehicle was following Campbell and two school busses. When the vehicles slowed to turn, the unknown vehicle changed lanes and passed both busses and Campbell. The unknown vehicle swerved back into the westbound lane and struck the front of Campbell’s vehicle.

28-year-old Amanda C. Austin of Taylorville was arrested Friday for Battery.

 

31-year-old David A. Foraker was arrested Sunday for Driving with No Valid Driver’s License.

 

32-year-old Addison S. Poole of Taylorville was arrested Sunday for Domestic Battery.

 

On Monday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:

 

74-year-old Margaret A. Swiney of Cape Coral, FL was driving westbound on Route 104 Friday and 35-year-old Kathleen R. Martin of Effingham was driving northbound on Route 29. Martin proceeded through the intersection with a green light, while Swiney proceeded through the intersection with a red light. Swiney struck Martin’s vehicle on the passenger side doors. No one was injured. Swiney was cited for failing to obey a traffic signal.

 

38-year-old Scott M. Bowman of Springfield was driving eastbound on East Main Cross Saturday. 66-year-old Gregory A. Phillips of Taylorville was driving northbound on Cherokee. Phillips stopped at the intersection with East Main Cross, but Bowman did not stop. Bowman struck Phillips’ vehicle in the front left side, causing major damage to both vehicles. Per Bowman’s request, his daughter, who was his only passenger, was taken to Taylorville Memorial Hospital to be checked out.

33-year-old Vance L. Gibson, Jr. of Pana was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

29-year-old Allison R. Owens of Tower Hill was backing from a parking spot in the Pana Jr. High School parking lot Thursday when she struck a parked car owned by Steven and Kimberly Sipes of Pana. No one was injured.


17-year-old Bailey J. Wafford of Tower Hill was stopped westbound on Second Street at the intersection with Poplar Street Friday. 35-year-old Bryon K. Jones of Pana was stopped eastbound at the same intersection. Wafford believed Jones was turning left and turned in front of Jones. Jones hit the passenger side of Wafford’s car. Wafford was issued a citation for failure to yield while turning left.


24-year-old Sheldon B. Ramsey of Charleston was driving eastbound on 4th Street Sunday when he failed to yield to the vehicle driven by 31-year-old Laura L. Peters of Pana. Peters struck Ramsey on the passenger side. Ramsey was issued a citation for failure to yield at a yield intersection.

33-year-old Vance L. Gibson of Pana was arrested Monday for Possession of a Controlled Substance.


On Monday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:


52-year-old Hal E. Joyce of Witt was following behind 58-year-old James L. Dulakis of Morrisonville as they both drove southbound on County Highway 1 Friday. Dulakis was slowing to turn left into a private drive. Joyce was not looking and stepped off the motorcycle to avoid rear-ending Dulakis’ car. The motorcycle still skidded into Dulakis’ car. No one was injured.


22-year-old Tiara N. Shull of Taylorville was driving eastbound on County Road 1100 North Saturday when she driving into the opposite lane to avoid a deer. She struck a concrete barrier. She left the scene and called in the accident, and the damage was later checked out at the Christian County Sheriff’s Office.

  • 38-year-old Shane L. Morenz of Decatur was arrested for driving while license revoked and speeding 84 mph in a 55 mph zone as he was driving a 2004 Dodge car on the Moweaqua blacktop just east of Route 128.

  • 20-year-old Shantae A. Williams of Decatur was arrested for speeding and driving while license suspended on Route 128 at County Road 2100 North.

  • 37-year-old Christopher J. Chiovari of Westervelt was arrested for criminal sexual abuse and criminal sexual exploitation of a child.

 

7/21 - Village of Tower Hill

  • 43-year-old Brooks R. Wilson of Herrick was arrested for Criminal Trespassing to Property. When arrested, he was found to be in possession of a small amount of cannabis, and was issued a citation for the cannabis.

  • 45-year-old Christopher N. Shuff of Decatur was arrested for DUI - alcohol and illegal transportation while driving on County Road 1900 North at County Road 2200 East.

  • 27-year-old Kelsey L. Agney of Shelbyville was arrested for DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol, fleeing and eluding and driving while license revoked while driving on County Road 1235 North and County Road 1400 East.

  • 71-year-old Walter L. Lewey of Janesville, Wisconsin was arrested for driving while his Wisconsin license was revoked as he was driving on Route 51 at Country Road 0 N in Shelby County.

32-year-old Randy E. Deese of Taylorville was arrested Wednesday for Driving while License Suspended.

 

41-year-old Rebecca M. Champley of Taylorville was arrested on a valid federal DOC warrant.

 

18-year-old David L. Ramsey Jr. was arrested Wednesday for Manufacturing and Delivery of Cannabis and Obstructing/Resisting a Peace Officer.

 

On Thursday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:


18-year-old Zachary R. Rozplochowski of Kincaid was driving northbound on 1025 East Road Tuesday when he says he looked down at his radio and did not see the T-intersection with Langleyville Road. He drove through the stop sign and the intersection and continued into a bean field on the north side of Langleyville Road. He came to a stop approximately 180 feet north of the roadway.


A 16-year-old was driving west on 6th Street Road, just past 2600 East Road on Wednesday. They hit loose gravel and lost control of the vehicle. They ran off the roadway and hit a ditch, causing damage to the front of the vehicle.


46-year-old Dale L. Gillaspie of Assumption was driving eastbound on 1350 North Road Thursday. Just east of 1600 East Road, he struck a deer in the roadway.

40-year-old Morris Chrisman of Jacksonville was arrested Tuesday for Disorderly Conduct.

 

On Wednesday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following accident to Regional Radio News:

 

A 2012 Chevy Tahoe owned by Theodore and Linda Fleming of Taylorville was parked in the Springfield Clinic parking lot Tuesday when an unknown vehicle struck the right rear of the Tahoe and left the scene.

29-year-old Jesse W. Demascal of Pana was arrested Saturday on a valid Christian County warrant.

 

On Tuesday, the Pana Police Department reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:

 

48-year-old Tracy D. Kersey of Pana was westbound on Second Street approaching Locust on Saturday. 49-year-old Delbert L. Cox of Pana was northbound on Locust Street approaching Second. Both Kersey and Cox said they had green lights and entered the intersection. Kersey hit the passenger side of Cox’s vehicle.

 

29-year-old Andrea J. Patton of Pana was turning south onto Hickory on Saturday when she apparently had a seizure while driving. She crossed Hickory and went off the roadway, striking the southwest corner of 700 E. Jefferson causing damage to the foundation, and exterior and interior walls. She also struck a gas meter removing it from the piping and allowing gas to leak freely. No one was home at the time of the crash. Pana Police and Pana Fire evacuated approximately a one block radius until Ameren could secure the area.

21-year-old Andrea N. Dixon of Herrick was arrested Monday for Failure to Reduce Speed in an Accident, Operating and Uninsured Vehicle, and DUI.


37-year-old Kevin E. Green of Pana was arrested Monday on a Christian County warrant.


37-year-old Aaron J. Jackson of Pana was arrested Monday for Domestic Battery.


A complainant reported that two individuals had been in his yard in the 300 block of Kitchell Street Wednesday and were stealing a set of tires. The two individuals became startled when the complainant exited his home and fleed the scene in a white two-door car. One tire was taken from the property. The case is under investigation.


On Thursday, the Pana Police Department reported the following accident to Regional Radio News:


21-year-old Andrea N. Dixon was driving northbound on High Point Drive Monday when she crossed 6th Street and came to rest about 120 feet north of 6th Street after striking a tree. Her vehicle suffered significant damage but she was not hurt.

On Wednesday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following accident to Regional Radio News:

 

51-year-old Michael D. Copp of Rochester was driving in the Lake Taylorville Marina parking lot early in the morning on Sunday. He said the windows were fogged and he struck a light pole in the parking lot, causing it to fall. Copp reported the incident and damage to the Marina Office attendant.

27-year-old Johnathon R. Gensler of Taylorville was arrested Tuesday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $5,000.


33-year-old Johnathon T. Coady of Taylorville was arrested Tuesday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $2,000.


On Wednesday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:


The Christian County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to 108 First Street in Jeisyville. The homeowner says a blue car struck a parked vehicle in front of his residence. The parked car had front driver’s side damage. The homeowner says the blue car continue eastbound and parked in a nearby business’ driveway, and two males exited the blue car and left the area on foot. Later that morning, the parked car was reported stolen from an address in the 400 block of First Street in Jeisyville.


43-year-old Thomas E. Mayes III of Taylorville was driving eastbound on County Highway 2 Monday. Approximately a half mile east of 1900 E Road, a deer entered the roadway. Mayes could not avoid the deer and hit the animal. He was not hurt.


53-year-old Michael D. Blakeman of Taylorville was driving southbound on 900 E Road Monday. Approximately a half mile north of 1800 N Road, a deer ran into the road. Blakeman could not avoid the deer and hit the animal. He was not hurt.


22-year-old Andrew J. Coontz of Pawnee was driving on County 20 on Tuesday. Just before 2000 N Road, a deer ran in front of Coontz. He swerved to miss the deer, ran off the roadway and hit a tree. He was not hurt.

On Tuesday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following accident to Regional Radio News:

 

68-year-old Stanley R. Williams of Taylorville was driving westbound in the 900 block of W. Prairie Street. Witnesses say it looked like Williams was slumped over the wheel, and he proceeded off the road at about 30 mph, striking the wooden staircase and mailbox at 907 W. Prairie, then continued and hit the porch of 909 W. Prairie, causing major damage to the porch and foundation. Witnesses said Williams confirmed he has health issues from diabetes. Williams refused medical treatment. He was issued a citation for improper lane usage.

On Monday, the Pana Police Department reported the following arrests and incident to Regional Radio News:

 

34-year-old Amy Merrifield of Pana was arrested Thursday for Criminal Damage to Property.

 

33-year-old Samuel L. Crow of Pana was arrested Saturday on Montgomery and Fayette County Bond Forfeiture warrants. Bond is set at $3,500.

 

26-year-old Derek W. Massey of Pana was arrested Sunday for Battery.

 

A complainant reported returning to her home on West Washington and finding the front door open on Saturday. The back door to the residence had been forced open. Nothing has been reported missing from the home at this time. The case is under investigation.

 

On Monday, the Pana Police Department reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:

 

19-year-old Kailey M. Williams of Tower Hill was driving under the canopy at Heritage Health and was turning left to enter the parking area when she hit the northwest brick column. There was no apparent structural damage.

 

A 16-year-old’s car was parked on the south side of Pana High School next to the vehicle of Kimberly Lager of Greenville. The 16-year-old backed out and struck Lager’s vehicle and drove away. The 16-year-old was later located and did not realize they had done damage to Lager’s car.

 

65-year-old Alva J. Allen of Herrick was backing out of a parking spot on West Third. She backed into the vehicle owned by Jon Palmer of Herrick.

38-year-old Nathan L. Howell of Taylorville was arrested Sunday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $2,000.


On Monday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following accident to Regional Radio News:


17-year-old Terra A. Litton of Pana was driving southbound on 2300 E Road at the intersection with 1700 N Road and 59-year-old Jerry J. Wilson of Assumption was traveling eastbound on 1700 N Road. Litton failed to yield for Wilson and Wilson t-boned Litton taking both cars off the road and into the bean field on the southeast side of the intersection. Litton’s car overturned and came to rest of its side. Litton and her 2 passengers were transported to Decatur area hospitals via ambulance. Wilson was not injured.

46-year-old Jackie K. Robinson of Kincaid was arrested Thursday for Debit/Credit Card Fraud.

 

38-year-old Rickie L. Fancher, Jr. of Decatur was arrested Thursday for Battery.

 

On Friday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News:


30-year-old Danielle M. Weinert of Morrisonville was arrested Thursday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $2,500.


19-year-old Grant A. Allen of Pana was arrested Thursday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $1,000.

 

On Friday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:


Trevor A. Durbin of Taylorville was traveling eastbound on Route 104 Saturday when he lost control of his vehicle, possibly because of a right rear tire blowout. Durbin drove off the south side of the road and overturned several times. He came to rest in the roadway facing south. He was not responsive and transported to St. John’s Hospital.


62-year-old Christene M. Smith of Owaneco was driving westbound on 0000 N Road Sunday and 69-year-old Marcus W. Smith of Nokomis was driving southbound on 1000 E Road. Both vehicles entered the intersection at the same time, and corn was blocking the view for both units. M. Smith’s car received little damage, while C. Smith’s car rolled a couple times, causing major damage. C. Smith was taken to Taylorville Memorial Hospital for her injuries.


37-year-old Angie D. Phillips of Moweaqua was driving eastbound on 1100 N Road Thursday when crossed into the oncoming lane of traffic into the north ditch. She traveled in the north ditch for a while before turning, crossing back across the road and striking the south ditch, coming to a stop. Phillips and her passenger were taken to Taylorville Memorial Hospital for their injuries.


54-year-old Devin M. Binger of Decatur was driving eastbound on County Highway 22 somewhere between 1300 E and 1350 E when a deer ran into the roadway. Binger was unable to avoid striking the deer. He was not injured.


32-year-old Alexandra L. Riva of Taylorville was stopped at a yield sign for 1800 N. Road at 1000 E Road Monday. She said she saw nothing coming, but when she entered the intersection, she saw the vehicle driven by 50-year-old Edward P. Phillips of Tuscola and could not avoid the vehicle. Phillips was eastbound on 1800 N Road. No major injuries were reported.


A 16-year-old was driving northbound on County Highway 22 north of Taylorville Monday when he went off the road to the right. The driver steered left, back onto the roadway and then overcorrected to the right. He left the roadway to the right and overturned several times in the corn field. He was not injured.


52-year-old James M. Umberger of Taylorville was driving westbound on 1200 N Road Tuesday when he passed a pewter-colored pickup truck. The truck then accelerated and rear-ended Umberger when he got in front of the truck. Umberger continued westbound and contacted the Sheriff’s Office. Umberger said the truck made a U-turn and traveled east on 1200 N Road.


61-year-old Donald L. Zuber of Pana was driving eastbound on 250 N Road on Tuesday. Just after crossing 2600 E Road, he noticed a truck ahead of him either parked or traveling very slowly in the eastbound lane. He rear-ended the truck driven by 50-year-old Todd L. Seaton of Pana. No one was injured.


22-year-old Ethan T. Henderson of Bloomington was driving southbound on U.S. Highway 51 Wednesday when he came to the crest of the hill at 700 N Road, he saw a tractor traveling in front of him and could not avoid hitting the tractor. Henderson swerved, but still struck the mower that the tractor was pulling. No injuries were reported.


36-year-old Bryce B. Thiele of Blue Mound was driving westbound on County Highway 2 Thursday when a deer ran into the roadway a half mile east of Township Road 1000 E. Thiele could not avoid the deer, and received front end damage. He was not injured.

30-year-old Joseph L. Ishmael of Pana was arrested Tuesday on a Christian County warrant for Aggravated Domestic Battery.

63-year-old Jesse Shallenbarger of Pana was arrested Wednesday Manufacturing/Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Bond is set at $20,000.

18-year-old Dustin Eggers of Greenup was arrested Saturday for Illegal Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor.

 

20-year-old Shaylynn P. Rockford of Taylorville was arrested Saturday for Battery.

 

20-year-old Dustin J. Benedict of Taylorville was arrested Saturday for Disorderly Conduct and Resisting a Peace Officer.

21-year-old Justice T. Stalling of Pana was arrested Thursday for Meth Delivery. Bond is set at $15,000.

 

A complainant reported his vehicle was struck by a rock that was thrown by two unknown individuals while he was driving. The rock struck the windshield causing damage. The case is under investigation.

30-year-old Levi J. Hollinshead of Edgewood, IL was driving eastbound on Route 16 behind 51-year-old Gary D. King of Pana Wednesday. King stopped to wait for a car to turn left off of Route 16, and Hollinshead did not see King come to a stop. Hollinshead rear-ended King. No one was injured.

30-year-old Bret W. Nolen of Taylorville was driving southbound on Route 48 on July 18 when he says he fell asleep at the wheel and rear-ended a state truck spreading rock for IDOT. The state truck was driving by 44-year-old Jefferey W. Bonn of Rochester. No one was injured.


28-year-old Lukas B. Schneider of Nokomis was driving southbound on County Highway 1 Thursday when he says he fell asleep and woke up in time to veer left, but still clipped the left rear tire of a semi-trailer being driving by 58-year-old Jeff E. Tussing of Oreana. No one was injured.

21-year-old Kaley J. Armstrong of Taylorville was arrested Wednesday for Retail Theft.

 

On Thursday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:

 

61-year-old Robert E. DeClerck of Taylorville was driving southbound on Houston Street while 25-year-old Allison M. Ladage of Taylorville was walking southbound on the street with a friend. DeClerck hit Ladage and pulled over. The friend says the two were walking on the edge of the street and Declerck hit Ladage in the arm. DeClerck was arrested for suspicion for DUI. Ladage transported herself to Taylorville Memorial Hospital with a private car.

 

42-year-old Heather L. Mathes of Stonington was backing out of a driveway. The car of Susan K. Noreail was parked legally East Esther Street. Mathes backed into Noreail’s car. No one was injured.

24-year-old Cassandra L. Steerman Kerr was arrested Tuesday on two Macon County warrants.


28-year-old Nathaniel Z. Bain of Pana was arrested Wednesday for Possession of a Controlled Substance.


Pana Police are investigating a report of a burglary and theft that occurred in the 300 block of North Walnut sometime between July 27th and July 30th. Unknown person(s) forced entry into a garage in that block and took two cordless drills and miscellaneous tools from the property. The case is under investigation.


A complainant reported all four tires of his vehicle slashed while parked at his business. The case is under investigation.

A complainant reported her vehicle was parked at Save-A-Lot between 8:30 and 8:45 a.m. on July 31 when an unknown vehicle struck her vehicle and left the scene. The accident caused damage to her bumper. The case is under investigation.
