22 year old Gerald A. Brown of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday on a bond forfeiture warrant for DUI. Bond was set at $5,000.

On Wednesday the Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News.

36 year old Sarah J. Mort of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday for theft.

ACCIDENTS:

On November 22nd 39 year old Amanda L. Lahr of Taylorville was eastbound on 1700 north road near 1250 east rd when her vehicle ran off the roadway into the gravel on the south side of the road. The lip of the road is significant at this point and when Lahr attempted to correct back onto the roadway lost control. Lahr’s vehicle slid along the roadway, eventually sliding into the north ditch where her vehicle overturned. Lahr’s vehicle traveled an additional 120 feet in the ditch before coming to a rest. Lahr was taken to Memorial Medical Center to be treated for injuries.

19 year old Blaine O. Kuhnert of Taylorville was Northbound on IL Rt. 48. Kuhnert stated that a deer ran into the roadway and he was unable to avoid striking the deer. No injuries were reported

73 year old Gerald F. Veach of Kincaid was traveling north on 400 east road. At 600 North road, 400E jogs back to the west. Veach did not see the jog in the road and continued through the intersection and struck the ditch on the north side of 600 north. Veach advised responders that his vision was obscured by heavy rain at the time of the crash.

55 year old Brian Ferguson of Pana was arrested on Wednesday on an original arrest warrant for home invasion with a dangerous weapon. Bond was set at $250,000.

48 year old Thomas Elliott of Tower Hill was arrested on Wednesday on a bond forfeiture warrant for contempt of court. Bond was set at $5,000.

21 year old Detric L. Mitchell of Springfield was arrested on Wednesday on a bond forfeiture warrant for contempt of court. Bond was set at $2,000.

28 year old Colt A. Stephens of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday on a bond forfeiture warrant for use of a forged credit card. Bond was set at $20,000.

47 year old William Winchester of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday for DUI.

ACCIDENTS:

On November 24th, 29 year old Kelly D. Wright of Edinburg was traveling southbound on 1400 East Road. At the curve where 1400 north turns into 2450 North road, Wright went off the roadway into the triangle grass median, and turned towards the southwest when her vehicle went into 2450 North Road. Wright hit the ditch on the south side of the road and started to overturn. Wright’s vehicle overturned multiple times and came to rest facing west. Wright was unharmed, but stated that she was going to take herself to the hospital.

ACCIDENTS:

Lloyd S. Washburn of Morrisonville was traveling west on 350 North Road. At about 1360 East Road a deer ran into the roadway. Washburn hit the deer causing major damage to the front of the vehicle. No injuries were reported.

ACCIDENTS:

On November 18th 61 year old Daniel A. Ryan of Pana was traveling north on Route 29 and was approaching the intersection of Route 29 and Lake Drive. As Ryan approached the intersection a deer ran into the roadway and into the side of Ryan’s vehicle, causing damage. Ryan was able to drive away from the scene.

ACCIDENTS:

52 year old Harry A. Burton of Chicago Ridge was southbound on US Route 51. At the intersection of Township Road 500 North, Burton drove off the roadway to the west, overcorrected, and came back across the roadway. Burten’s vehicle then skidded off the roadway to the east, overturned, and came to rest in a plowed field on the units left side. No injuries were reported.

On 11/20/16 57 year old John P. Barry of Taylorville was traveling eastbound on IL Rt 104 through the village of Kincaid. Barry was approaching the north intersecting road of Market Street. 29 year old Krista R. Simpson of Taylorville had traveled south on Market Street and stopped at the stop sign with the intersection of IL Rt 104. As Barry was passing Market Street, Simpson struck Barry. Simpson’s vehicle received front passenger side damage, and Barry’s vehicle received rear drivers side damage.

ACCIDENTS:

60 year old Shelly J. Dennis of Taylorville was traveling westbound on Park St. 56 year old Janet N. Dionne of Pana was traveling eastbound on Park St. Dennis collided head on with Dionne in the eastbound lane. Dennis stated at the scene that she fell asleep while driving and struck Dionne. Dennis and Dionne driver were both transported to Taylorville Memorial Hospital ER for treatment of injuries.

16 year old Steven M. Harris of Taylorville was parked in Taylorville High School’s parking lot. 15 year old Thomas R. Mollet of Owaneco was sitting in his vehicle talking to Harris. Mollet exited the vehicle and attempted to retrieve an item he had dropped while exiting the vehicle. Harris thought Mollet had left the area and began to back from the parking space. Harris struck Mollet at slow speed. Mollet complained of injury to his right leg and sought assistance at THS Student Services. The Taylorville Police Department, Taylorville Fire Department, and Sutton’s Ambulance were called by THS Student Services, and Mollet was then transported for medical treatment of his injuries.

31 year old Gavin M. Walker of Taylorville was arrested on Sunday for criminal trespass to land, disorderly conduct, and resisting a peace officer.

28 year old Mallory DeClerk of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday on a warrant.

37 year old Richard E. Ritz of Springfield was arrested on Saturday for driving with a suspended license, as well as on a bond forfeiture warrant for an issuance of warrant. Bond was set at $3,000.

30 year old Pamela J. Rozplochowski of Taylorville was arrested on Friday for IVC Felonies.

44 year old Jason E. Heberling of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday for an uncased gun and an illegal hunting device. Bond was set at $150.

ACCIDENTS:

28 year old Richard A. Clardy of Pana drove a vehicle off the roadway striking a rock pile at the intersection of County Road 6 and 1200 North Road. Clardy’s vehicle rolled over from hitting the rock and came to rest in the ditch prior to getting to 1200 North. Clardy stated that he had been drinking, and was taken to Pana Community Hospital to be treated for injuries.

45 year old Robert F. Campbell of Irving was southbound on Township Road 500 East. Campbell lost control and went into the ditch on the west side of the roadway. Campbell struck a field culvert causing the truck to flip over on it’s side. Campbell left the scene before authorities arrived on scene. Campbell stated he had been drinking, and was issued a citation for leaving the scene of a property damage accident. No injuries were reported.

17 year old Blake A. Luka of Blue Mound was traveling from McAdams Drive and turning onto East Ester Street. Luka said he was adjusting the radio and made the turn too soon. Luka made a right turn onto Norfolk Southern Railroad tracks, and traveled about 100 feet before becoming stuck on the railroad track. Norfolk Southern was notified and sent personnel to check the tracks. No injuries were reported.

16 year old Maddison L. Wilson of Taylorville was traveling north on Madison St. Wilson advised that she stopped at the stop sign at which time a subject to her left driving a truck waved for her to go. She said she then proceeded into the intersection at which time she collided with 32 year old Ashley L. Rockford of Taylorville. Rockford was traveling westbound on Poplar St. and was not obligated to stop as this isn’t a four way intersection. No injuries were reported.

35 year old Robert M. Shake of Taylorville was southbound on IL Rt 29 ¼ mile south of Lake Taylorville entrance. Shake stated a deer had ran into the roadway, and he was unable to avoid striking the deer. No injuries were reported.

29 year old Brittannie N. Baker of Cowden was arrested on Wednesday for retail theft.

ACCIDENTS:

18 year old Cody E. Walker of Kincaid was traveling northbound on County Highway 5, 600 East Road. Walker lost control of the vehicle traveling off the roadway to the right. Walker then over corrected and went off the roadway to the left into the west ditch. Walker turned back to the right and traveled into the east ditch facing towards the south east. Walker’s vehicle then rolled and came to a stop about 400 feet after losing control.

Walker was the only occupant in the vehicle, and was ejected from the vehicle during the accident, and landed on the north side of the vehicle. Walker was treated by Dunns Ambulance, and taken to St. Johns Hospital.

53 year old Terry E. Babbs of Kincaid was traveling westbound on IL Rt. 104 approximately ¼ of a mile northwest of 900 east road when a deer entered the roadway. U1 stated that he was unable to avoid striking the deer. No injuries were reported at the time of the accident.

ACCIDENTS:

27 year old Spencer P. White of Stonington and 26 year old Anthony A. Adams of Taylorville were both riding motorcycles southbound on IL Rt. 29. Adams was traveling in front of White, and used a hand signal to indicate a left turn. Adams also said he used his electronic signal to show a left turn, and began to turn north onto 1600 East Road. White stated that they were riding together and did not realize they were going to turn. He did not see the signal for the turn and was unable to stop before striking Adams. White was taken to St. John’s Hospital to be treated for injuries.

20 year old Charles R. Lair of Taylorville was arrested on Thursday on a bond forfeiture warrant for an issuance of warrant. Bond was set at $3000.

48 year old Richard K. Hooper of Taylorville was eastbound on Township Road 1600 North and stopped at the stop sign at IL Rt 29. 28 year old Edward A. Shoemaker of Taylorville was northbound on IL Rt. 29. Hooper advised that he looked both ways and thought the roadway was clear for him to proceed through the intersection. Hooper did advise that the sunlight was making it difficult to see. Hooper pulled into the path of Shoemaker, and Shoemaker struck the passenger side of Hooper’s vehicle causing damage. No injuries were reported.

On November 1st 58 year old Paul E. Hayes of Springfield was traveling northeast on IL Rt. 48. At approximately 1750 north, a deer came into the roadway and struck u1 in the front of the vehicle. Hayes’ vehicle had damage to the front, and Hayes was unharmed.

49 year old Richard D. Prackel of Taylorville was arrested on Monday on a bond forfeiture warrant for possession of methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance.

ACCIDENTS:

On October 29th 25 year old Elizabeth L. Yucaneer of Owaneco was traveling southeast on IL Rt. 29 when a deer entered the roadway and struck the vehicle. No injuries were reported.

53 year old David R. Langen of Taylorville was traveling south on S. Cherokee St. near the 1000 block. U1 reported he became distracted from the inside of the vehicle, swerved off the roadway to the right, and struck a utility pole.
