18 year old Angela N. McKinnon of Kincaid was arrested on Wednesday for Involuntery Manslaughter/Reckless Homicide.
44 year old Patrick T. McCaughn of Taylorville was arrested on Thursday on a bond forfeiture warrant for an issuance of warrant. Bond was set at $2500.

27 year old Michael Emery of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday for battery.
37 year old John Merritt was arrested on Tuesday on a valid Christian County Warrant.
40 year old Aaron C. Davis of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday for battery.
ACCIDENTS:
16 year old Shaunee J. Johnson of Stonington was southbound on IL Rt 48. Johnson was turning right onto Township Road 1700 N Rd. Johnson lost control in the rocks at the intersection and skidded into 48 year old Brian K. Murphy’s vehicle, who was eastbound on township road 1700 N Road. Johnson stated that she was going too fast when she got to the intersection and hit Murphy’s vehicle. Neither driver was injured in the accident, and Johnson admitted fault in the accident.
18 year old Lauryn T. Schinzler of Moweaqua was traveling north on 2400 East Road. At approximately 1775 North, a deer entered the roadway. Schinzler then collided with the deer in the roadway.
On June 27th, 28 year old Danielle L Hague of Taylorville was traveling east on IL Route 29 coming into the intersection of Route 29 and 104. 16 year old Cole M. Bland was traveling west on Route 29 and was attempting to turn left onto route 104 towards Kincaid. Bland looked down at their radio and turned into Hague’s vehicle causing a collision. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene, and Hague was transported to Taylorville Memorial Hospital via Dunns ambulance to be treated for injuries.

18 year old Jesse R Austin of Pana, 19 year old Michael S. Harshani of Taylorville, as well as a 17 year old juvenile were arrested on Saturday for theft from a motor vehicle.
20 year old Sierra Durbin of Taylorville was arrested on Sunday for retail theft.
ACCIDENTS:
On 6/25/16 25 year old Joseph A. Johnson of Auburn was northbound on Highway Rt. 29. At approximately 585 north Johnson’s 2015 Dodge 4 Door blew the right rear tire causing the vehicle to enter the east ditch and received rear quarter damage.
On June 25th, 22 year old Jessica A. Hatch of Edinburg was traveling east bound. Hatch ran off the roadway to the right in an attempt to not hit raccoons. Hatch lost control of the vehicle, causing the vehicle to travel into the ditch on the south side of the road. Hatch’s vehicle then rolled after colliding with the ditch embankment. The vehicle came to rest on its wheels facing west. Hatch had two passengers, who were both treated on scene by EMS and refused further treatment.
On 6/25/16 21 year old Erika K. Painter of Nokomis was traveling southbound on County Highway 1 and was approaching County Highway 12. At approximately 250 feet north of County Highway 12, the Painter stated that a deer entered the roadway and struck her vehicle. There was damage to the drivers side front lights, front panel, and driver’s side door. No injuries were reported.
On June 23rd, 20 year old Deiona A. Andrews of Kincaid was northbound on County Highway 11 just north of 1800 North Road. Andrews stated that she was trying to get her purse for a cigarette when she ran off the right side of the roadway. Andrews traveled about 108 feet on the right shoulder in the rocks before sliding down into the grass in the right ditch. Andrews then traveled approximately 123 feet in the ditch before striking the first utility pole north of pole 40. Andrew’s vehicle hit the pole on the drivers side just in front of the drivers door. Andrews was taken to St. John’s Hospital via Medics First Ambulance to be treated for injuries.
On 6/12/16 27 year old James M. Katcher of Taylorville was traveling west on 1800 N Road. Katcher lost control of the vehicle causing the vehicle to travel into the ditch on the right side of the road. Katcher traveled out of the ditch and came to a stop on the roadway facing west. Katcher’s vehicle had front end and undercarriage damage.
On 6/20/16 60 year old David A Reed of Edinburg was traveling south on 625 East Road at about 2135 North. A deer entered the roadway from the west and Reed hit the deer.

ACCIDENTS:
23 year old Emily D. Fleming of St. Louis, Missouri was traveling eastbound on IL Rt. 104. At approximately 550 east, a racoon entered the roadway. Fleming then struck the racoon on the roadway.
19 year old Lani N. Reed of Kincaid was traveling northwest on IL Rt. 29. As Reed passed Kennedy Rd, a deer entered the roadway. Reed then collided with the deer in the roadway.
On 6/18/16 54 year old Brent A. Cornell of Taylorville was traveling east on Spresser Street on a 2008 Honda Goldwing, and was passing through the intersection of Spresser and Shumway Streets. 62 year old Jeffrey M. Bland of Taylorville was attempting to exit Amity foods and was having trouble seeing due to a sign. Bland partially entered into the roadway. Cornell saw this, applied the brakes and swerved. Cornell was thrown off the motorcycle and landed in the roadway. Cornell’s vehicle continued driverless, into the parking lot of Gordon Olds and struck a parked vehicle causing damage. Cornell’s vehicle had to be towed from the scene, and Cornell was taken to Taylorville Memorial Hospital via Dunn's Ambulance to be treated for injuries.

ACCIDENTS:
On 6/17/16 at approximately 2250, Sgt. McWard was dispatched to IL Rt. 29 at 1850 North for a deer vs car accident. He arrived on scene and observed a 2015 Chevrolet Spark with significant front end damage. He spoke with the driver, 40 year old Jacqueline R. Holmes of Taylorville who said she was southbound on IL Rt 29 when a deer entered the roadway from the east. Holmes struck the deer and contacted the Christian County Sheriff’s Office. Two female juvenile passengers reported minor injuries, and were transported by Deputy Pickett to Taylorville Memorial Hospital.
On 6/18/16 25 year old Vantez R. Rush of Omaha Nebraska was traveling westbound on County Highway 5. At approximately 1989 North, Rush lost control of the vehicle when it hit the rock shoulder. Rush went off the roadway to the right and struck the embankment, causing damaged to the front, right tire of Rush’s 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Rush was able to get the vehicle back onto the roadway, and park in a driveway at the residence nearby. Rush’s vehicle was towed by taylorville towing from the scene. Rush had a minor cut to his head, but no other injuries were reported by the other occupants.
On 6/19/16 16 year old Bryce P. Barton of Taylorville was traveling southbound on 800 E. Road. At approximately 1710 North, a deer came onto the roadway. Barton struck the deer with the front end of the vehicle. Barton stopped in the roadway. Barton’s vehicle had damage to the front end. Barton was able to be drive back to his residence, and was unhurt.
On 6/19/16 34 year old Brett A. Wexstten of Nokomis was northbound on County Road 1. Wexstten stated that a deer ran into the roadway, and he was unable to avoid striking the animal. Wexstten’s vehicle was unable to drive away because of the damage.
On 6/16/16 39 year old David J. Bolletto of Thayer was southbound on Webster attempting to turn left onto Spresser. Bolletto said that the sun was in his eyes and could not see the traffic light. He pulled into the northbound lane of traffic starting to make a left turn and realized that there was another vehicle coming towards him. 55 year old Dan R. Conrath of Taylorville came into the intersection, and tried to stop to avoid hitting Bolletto’s vehicle, but was unable to stop in time to avoid the collision. Witnesses described the accident the same way. Conrath was taken to Taylorville Memorial Hospital via Suttons Ambulance to be treated for injuries.

On Wednesday the Christian County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News.
32 year old Daniel P. Rhoads of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday on a bond forfeiture warrant for reckless driving. Bond was set at $5000.
20 year old Jacob G. Meyer of Hillsboro was arrested on Tuesday for driving on a suspended license.
24 year old Johnathan L. Gracey of Mulberry Grove was arrested on Tuesday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a dog running at large. Bond was set at $1500.
ACCIDENTS:
On 6/11/16 28 year old Jeremy D. Key of Decatur was southbound on County Road 1600 east in a 2002 Dodge Sedan. At approximately 1000 feet north of 1260 north road Key crossed over the center line and entered the east ditch. Key continued southbound through the ditch for approximately 213 feet before striking a field entrance. Key’s vehicle then became airborne traveling approximately another 230 feet and overturned several times. Key’s vehicle then rolled back onto the roadway traveling another 420 feet overturning and came to rest on it’s top in the west ditch area. Key was ejected from the vehicle, and taken to Memorial Medical Center via Dunns Ambulance to be treated for injuries.
On 6/13/16 57 year old James L. Dlakis of Morrisonville was east-bound on Sangamon road. Dlakis approached the railroad crossing in a 1991 International 4000, and did not see or hear the approaching train. Dlakis’ vehicle was struck in the passenger’s side of the vehicle by the train. Dlakis was ejected from the truck onto the side of the roadway, and transported to St. Johns Hospital via Dunns Ambulance to be treated for injuries.
On 6/12/16 46 year old Stephanie K. Welge of Taylorville was traveling west on Illinois Route 104 at 1000 East. Weather conditions were very hard rain and water on the roadway. Welge hydroplaned and lost control. Welge’s vehicle went off the south side of the roadway and went into a standing cornfield. Welge’s vehicle had to be towed out of the field, but was driven from the scene.
On 6/14/2016 58 year old Elsie M. Stewardson of Pana was southbound on Illinois Route 29. Stewardson stated that a deer ran into the roadway and she was unable to avoid striking the deer. Nobody was injured in the accident.

ACCIDENTS:
56 year old Charles D. Davis of Decatur was traveling east on County Highway 2 on 6/4/16 on a 2009 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic. At approximately 1193 East, a deer entered the roadway from the south and collided with the right side of Davis’ vehicle. Davis was then forced into the westbound lane but Davis was able to keep his vehicle upright throughout the incident.
On 6/8/2016 35 year old McKenzie R. Crowe of Taylorville was southbound on township road 1600 E in a 2015 Nissan 5 door. 41 year old Deborah E. Short of Taylorville was northbound on township road 1600 E in a 2014 Chevrolet 4 Door. Both Crowe and Short arrived at the top of the hill at the same time. Both vehicles made contact at the top of the hill. Both vehicles had damage to the front left hand side of their vehicles. Both Crowe and Short were uninjured in the accident.
ON 6/11/16 18 year old Devynne P. Nation of Taylorville failed to yield for 53 year old Marsha N. Machacek of Taylorville and struck Machacek’s vehicle as it traveled through the intersection of Market and Cheney Streets in Taylorville. Nation’s vision may have been obstructed by some tall landscaping. No Injuries were reported.

35 year old Eric T. Coleman of Taylorville was arrested on Thursday on a bond forfeiture warrant for operating a vehicle uninsured. Bond was set at $3000.
25 year old Brianna L. Hughes of Taylorville was arrested on Thursday for possession of methamphetamine as well as illegal use of an intoxicating compound.
ACCIDENTS:
On June 8th at approximately 0615, Sgt. McWard of the Christian County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to IL Rt. 51 at 1750 North for a deer vs car collision. He arrived on scene and observed a deceased deer on the west shoulder of IL Rt 51 and 62 year old James A. Cole of Mt. Pulaski parked on the west shoulder of Il RT 51 just south of the deceased deer in a 2006 Ford Ranger. He observed front end damage indicative of a deer collision on Cole’s vehicle. He spoke with Cole, who reported no injuries. Springfield Collision Center towed Cole’s vehicle.
On February 16th 2016 at approximately 0330, Sgt. McWard of the Christian County Sheriff’s Department was conducting stationary radar at Il Rt. 48 at approximately 1110 North. He was approached by a vehicle that appeared to have damage on the passenger side. The 51 year old Scott G. Meyer exited and explained to Sgt. McWard how he had just struck a deer a short distance northeast of their location. He observed damage to Meyer’s 2002 Dodge Ram indicative of a deer collision and observed deer hair in the passenger side rear fender of Meyer’s vehicle. The Cole stated that his vehicle was driveable and continued on his way.
On 6/7/16 34 year old Liberty A. Moore of Taylorville turned north onto N. Shumway from W. Main Cross in a 2010 Audi A3. Moore stated that she over compensated the turn and hit a power pole and street sign. Moore said she was talking on her cell phone. Moore’s vehicle received front end damage. The Power pole did not have damage and the street sign was bent.
On 6/8/16 54 year old Carol L. Ennis of Taylorville was exiting a private parking lot onto Springfield Rd in a 2006 Jeep Wrangler. 62 year old Patricia J. Enlow of Taylorville had turned onto Springfield Rd from Maxwell and was traveling westbound on Springfield Road in a 1995 Buick Century. Ennis struck Enlow on Springfield Rd. Ennis’ vehicle sustained front bumper damage. Enlow’s vehicle sustained front end damage. Enlow and a passenger were transported to Taylorville Memorial Hospital via Dunn’s Ambulance to be treated for injuries.

25 year old Chadwick R. Barlow of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday for violating an order of protection, burglary, as well as theft.
ACCIDENTS
19 year old Cody D. Bland of Pana was stopped at the corner of Locust and 3rd at 8:55PM on 6/8/16 in a 2015 Dodge Charger. 16 year old Connor A. Voudrie of Tower Hill was traveling the same direction behind Bland in a 2005 GMC Z71. Voudrie ran into the back of Bland causing damage to both vehicles.
32 year old Weston T. Adcock of Assumption stated he was westbound on County Highway 6 near 2200 east road on 6/7/2016 in a 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe when a deer ran out in the roadway in front of him. Adcock did not have time to avoid the deer. The deer caused damage to the front drivers side of Adcock’s vehicle.
On 6/1/16 43 year old Angela M. Tucker of Assumption’s 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe was parked in the Christian County Sheriff’s office parking lot. Tucker was parked in the second stall from the north in the east row. 65 year old Jacqueline F. Mahone of Assumption entered the parking lot from the north, traveling southbound in a 2010 Nissan Altima. As Mahone was traveling through the lot, Tucker began to back up. Tucker struck Mahone and proceeded northbound, leaving the scene. Mahone’s vehicle received minor driver's side panel and bumper damage. On 6/5/16 Tucker was located. She stated that she was unaware she had made contact with another vehicle and had not seen Mahone stop behind her. No injuries were reported.
Douglas K Nihiser of Decatur was stopped at the stoplight facing southbound on 6/7/16 in a 2012 GMC SUV. For reasons unknown at this time, 21 year old Joseph P. Sassatelli of Taylorville did not slow as he approached the intersection in a 2007 Hyundai Sedan. Sassatelli rear ended Nihiser sending Nihiser halfway into the intersection. Sassatelli needed to be extricated from the vehicle by emergency personnel, and was taken to Taylorville Memorial Hospital for injuries.

32 year old Michael J. Alberts of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday on a bond forfeiture warrant for retail theft. Bond was set at $3000.
31 year old Timari A. Tucker of Mt. Auburn was arrested on Tuesday on a bond forfeiture warrant for driving on a suspended license. Bond was set at $3000.
22 year old Alexander R. Tullis of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday for driving on suspended license.
39 year old Nicholas J. Dyer of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday on a bond forfeiture warrant for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, as well as an issuance of warrant.

66 year old Leonard B. McKinney of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday for domestic battery.
ACCIDENTS
There were two accidents with injures recently. The first involved 53 year old Sheila J. Albright of Taylorville. Albright was eastbound on County Highway 6 on June 5th in a 1999 Chevrolet S10. Witnesses stated that Albright was swerving and crossing the center line. Approximately 2/10ths of a mile east of 2200 East Road, Albright swerved from across the center line and into the north ditch. Albright struck a culvert and went airborne for 96 feet before impacting the ditch and then traveled 75 feet before coming to a rest facing south east in the ditch. Albright was taken to Taylorville Memorial Hospital to be treated for injuries.
The second involved 58 year old Bradley L. Mansfield of Taylorville. Mansfield was traveling south on 1600 east road at about 1810 north in a 2008 Ford F350. Bradley lost control on the dirt and gravel roadway. Mansfield drove off the west side of the road and overturned. Mansfield’s vehicle came to rest on the roof. Mansfield was taken to St. Johns Hospital for to be treated for injuries.

23 year old Cheyenne I. Carey of Shelbyville was arrested on Tuesday on a bond forfeiture warrant for issuance of warrant. Bond was set at $10,000.
31 year old Brian M. Hays of Taylorville was arrested on Monday for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
31 year old Krystal L. Huckstadt of Taylorville was arrested on Monday on a bond forfeiture warrant for contempt of court. Bond was set at $200.
49 year old Kevin C. Minnis of Palmer was arrested on Monday on a bond forfeiture warrant for issuance of warrant. Bond was set at $1000.
24 year old Shamaris D. Hurks of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday on a bond forfeiture warrant for issuance of warrant. Bond was set at $100,000.

28 year old JR F. True of Taylorville was backing out of the parking space in a 1999 Lincoln 4 Door when he failed to see a 2016 GMC Yukon owned by Deanna K. Goebel of Taylorville parked. True then struck Goebel's vehicle in the rear driver side bumper. True then left the scene of the accident. Goebel's vehicle sustained rear driver side bumper damage and True received rear bumper damage.

ACCIDENTS:
On 5/31/16 at 10:23 PM, officers were dispatched to the intersection of N. Webster and Spresser St. 64 year old Ezequiel Camacho of Taylorville was traveling east on Spresser and turning north onto Webster in a 2014 Toyota Pickup. Camacho turned too sharp and entered the turning lane of 21 year old Cobi D. Niehat. Niehat was traveling south on Webster and in the left turn lane to turn east onto W. Park in a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix. Camacho struck Niehat as Niehat was approaching the stoplight in the turn lane. Camacho's vehicle was able to be driven away from the accident. Niehat's veichle was towed by Morrells in Pana to Pana.
