On Monday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio:

 

42 year-old Curtis L. Worker of Pana was arrested on Saturday for battery, criminal damage to state supported property, and resisting/obstructing an officer. Bond was set at $50,000.

 

29 year-old Justin M. Bright of Pana was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant for aggravated criminal sexual abuse. Bond was set at $2,500.

 

53 year-old James E. Davis of Hillsboro was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $2,500.

 

19 year-old Cuyler A. Hadden of Taylorville was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant for driving on a suspended/revoked license. Bond was set at $2,500.

 

33 year-old Julianna R. Scott of Taylorville was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant for driving on a suspended/revoked license. Bond was set at $2,500.

 

38 year-old Phillip R. Daugherty III of Taylorville was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant for theft. Bond was set at $50,000.

On Friday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio:

 

30 year-old Jennifer L. Brown of Pana was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant on an issuance of warrant. Bond was set at $2,500.

 

Accident:

 

64 year-old Diane B. Oats of Pana was driving a 2006 Ford Fusion, heading southbound on Route 29 in a 2006 Ford Fusion, while 53 year-old Kevin E. Ahlfield of Olney, Illinois was driving a 2006 Pontiac Montana, heading northbound. Oats advised the strong wind caused the vehicle to move out of the tire tracks that had been made in the snow which caused her vehicle to veer to the right. Her Ford continued to veer to the right and into the path of Ahlfield’s Pontiac. Oats then veered back to the right attempting to return to the south bound lane as Ahlfield veered left to avoid Oats’ vehicle. Resulting in the front left of Oats’ vehicle striking the front right of Ahlfield’s Pontiac, causing Oats’ Ford to rotate clockwise, resulting in the left rear of her vehicle, striking the right rear of Ahlfield’s vehicle. Oats’ vehicle came to rest heading north in the northbound lane, while Ahlfield’s Pontiac came to rest southwest of the west ditch. Oats was taken to Pana Community Hospital by ambulance, while a passenger in Ahlfield’s vehicle, 44 year-old Kimberly L. Ahlfield was also taken by ambulance to Pana Community Hospital for treatment of her injuries. The accident occurred on Feb. 24 at 8:33 a.m.

29 year-old Anthony Arnone of Pana was arrested on Friday for driving while license revoked.

38 year-old Amanda S. McMillon of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $2,000.

 

21 year-old Andrew M. McDonald of Pana was arrested on Thursday on a bond forfeiture warrant on an issuance of warrant. Bond was issued at $2,000, but he was later released on his own recognizance.

37 year-old Dusty D. Kamalii of Assumption was arrested on Monday for retail theft. Bond was set at $5,000.

 

57 year-old Sandra P. Cutright of Taylorville was arrested on Monday for domestic battery.

 

32 year-old Justin O. Droke of Wapella, IL was arrested on Monday on a bond forfeiture warrant for possession of methamphetamine of more than 15, but less than 100 grams. Bond was set at $2,500.

 

46 year-old Michael W. Pugsley of Pana was arrested on Monday on an out of state (Florida) warrant for violation of sex offender probation.

 

Accident:


56 year-old Debora L. Mangis of Mt. Auburn was driving a 2008 Hyundai Utility, heading east on County Highway 2. Mangis struck a deer at approximately County Highway 2 and 1125 East Road. Her vehicle sustained front end damage on the left side of the vehicle. The accident occurred on Feb. 22 at 6:16 p.m.

52 year-old Gary G. Best of Tovey was arrested on Saturday for driving under the influence with alcohol.

46 year-old Laura A. Humphrey of Morrisonville was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant for contempt of court. Bond was set at $3,000.

 

38 year-old Justin L. Radford of Oconee was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant for overweight on gross. Bond was set at $2,000.

 

22 year-old Micah D. Beck of Tower Hill was arrested on Saturday for threatening a public official and aggravated battery to a police officer.

 

44 year-old Michael L. Durbin of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday on a bond forfeiture warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

39 year-old Michael B. Kearney of Bulpitt was arrested on Saturday on a bond forfeiture warrant for contempt of court.

 

56 year-old Peggy A. Johnson of North Pole, Alaska was arrested on Monday on a bond forfeiture warrant for driving suspended or revoked. Bond was set at $10,000.

 

32 year-old Amanda N. Langston of Assumption was arrested on Saturday on a bond forfeiture warrant on operating uninsured. Bond was set at $2,500.

 

53 year-old Christopher E. Beard of Pana was arrested on Sunday for domestic battery. Bond was set at $5,000.

 

35 year-old Jerod A. Johnson of Nokomis was arrested on Monday on a bond forfeiture warrant on an issuance of warrant, and for resisting a peace officer, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $50,000.

 

Accidents:

 

23 year old Katelyn N. Lollar was driving a 1999 Volkswagen Passat, heading northbound on Illinois Route 48, just south of Township Road 700 North. Lollar stated a white, four-door passenger car proceeded into her lane of traffic. Lollar stated she swerved over to the right to avoid striking the other car. Lollar then overcorrected and traveled across both traffic lanes, exiting the roadway to the left. Her Passat then entered the west ditch and continued approximately 125 feet, north of Township Road 700 North, before striking a concrete culvert. Her vehicle then continued a short distance before it came to rest in the west ditch, facing north. No injuries were reported. Her Passat received driver’s side damage. The accident occurred on Feb. 20 at 9:23 a.m.

 

89 year-old Raymond A. Baker of Taylorville was driving a 2001 Ford F-150, heading eastbound on Illinois Route 104, approximately 6/10 of a mile east of Township Road 175 East. An employee of the Illinois & Midland Railroad was doing a routine inspection of a highway railroad crossing assembly. The employee, Jayme A. Sarff, was standing on the south side of Route 104, facing the roadway, checking the mechanism. Sarff stated both crossing gates were closed and the lights were functioning properly.  Baker stated he did not see the crossing gate and then proceeded a short distance eastward before pulling off the roadway to the right. From the impact, a part of the assembly, Sarff believes it may have been the crossing gate arm counterweight, struck him in the right shoulder. The impact sent Sarff backwards from the assembly. Baker’s Ford received hood and windshield damage. The crossing gate arm was separated from the assembly. Baker refused medical treatment at the scene. Sarff refused medical treatment at the scene, but indicated he would seek treatment by private vehicle. The accident occurred on Feb. 19 at 1:19 p.m.

 

70 year-old William J. Smith of Springfield was traveling east in a 2014 Dodge pickup approximately 100 feet west of 2100 East Road. 28 year-old Marc D. Hopkins of Moweaqua was driving a 2002 Ford pickup and rear-ended Smith’s vehicle. The impact caused damage to Smith’s rear bumper and Hopkins left the scene. The accident occurred on Feb. 19 at 5:57 p.m.

 

On Monday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio:

 

A male juvenile was arrested for burglary on Monday.

18 year-old Tyler A. Smith of Taylorville was arrested for illegal possession/consumption of alcohol by a minor. 18 year-old Tucker J. May of Taylorville was arrested for illegal possession/consumption by a minor. A 16 year-old male juvenile was arrested for illegal possession/consumption by a minor. A 17 year-old male juvenile was arrested for illegal possession/consumption by a minor, possession of cannabis of 30 grams and under, possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting/obstructing a peace officer. All four were arrested on Sunday.

 

A male juvenile was arrested for battery on Friday.

 

25 year-old Joseph Leckner of Taylorville was arrested on Friday for driving while license suspended.

 

On Thursday, at approximately 5:04 a.m., officers were dispatched to East Main Cross at Cherokee for a shirtless male that had jumped out in front of of a vehicle. Upon further investigation, 38 year-old Matthew Neece of Taylorville was arrested for use of an intoxicating compound that is prohibited.

 

Accident:


26 year-old William M. Sterling of Edinburg was driving a 1991 Chevrolet dump truck that was loaded with asphalt. He stopped at the stop sign, preparing to back up to do repair work of the roadway. As Sterling backed up, it struck a 2015 Chevy 4-door car drived by 27 year-old Angie M. Rogers of Taylorville. Occupants in Sterling’s vehicle, stated they did not see Rogers’ Chevy in the mirrors. Rogers vehicle is a compact car. Occupants in Sterling’s vehicle stated the vehicle is equipped with audible backup alarms and their flashers were on. A passenger, in Rogers’ vehicle, 51 year-old Rhonda Ondrey of Taylorville was transported to TMH. after experiencing numbness in their leg. The accident occurred on Feb 19 at 2:29 p.m.

24 year-old David W. Moma of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday on a bond forfeiture warrant for resisting a peace officer. Bond was set at $3,000.

 

35 year-old Steve A. Rigney of Morrisonville was arrested on Wednesday for criminal sexual assault. Bond was set in the amount of $500,000.

18 year-old Carl J. Fisher of Springfield was arrested on Tuesday for retail theft.

 

On Thursday, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio:

 

44 year-old Eric S. Dunaway of Cowden was arrested on February 6 for driving while license suspended during a vehicle stop located near Cowden-Herrick High School. He posted bond at the Shelby County Detention Center and was released.

 

22 year-old Austin A. Baker of Tower Hill was cited on February 5 for speeding 95 in a 55 zone while operating his 2014 Chevrolet at County Road 1700 West and County Road 2450 East.

 

19 year-old Bradley Mahnke Jr. of Beecher City was cited on February 9 for operating an ATV on a roadway and no valid driver’s license. He was operating a 2000 Honda ATV on County Road 50 North at County Road 1636 East.

 

32 year-old Chad Thompson of Mattoon was cited for driving while license suspended on February 10 following a traffic stop where he was operating a vehicle with no functional tail lights. He posted bond after being transported to the Shelby County Detention Center for booking.

 

25 year-old James R. Vanzandt of Shumway was arrested on February 14 for driving while license suspended, illegal transportation of alcohol and attempting to flee and elude an officer while operating a 2009 Suzuki motorcycle on County Road 2600 East and County Road 400 North. He posted bond on these charges at the Shelby County Detention Center.

 

47 year-old Candy Jo Florey of Cowden was arrested on February 12 for operating a 1997 Dodge pickup while her license was suspended. She was arrested on Route 128 at County Road 500 North and later posted bond at the Shelby County Detention Center.

45 year-old Steven E. Tucker of Taylorville was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant for possession of a controlled substance. Bond was set at $7,500.

 

33 year-old Coral L. Harrison of Tovey was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant for criminal trespass to land. Bond was set at $3,500.

 

48 year-old Ryan A. Kauzlarich of Decatur was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant for meth manufacturing. Bond was set at $2,000.

 

26 year-old Amanda L. Allen of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday on a bond forfeiture warrant for criminal damage to property. Bond was set at $3,500.

 

44 year-old Starla D. Hostetler of Pana was arrested on Sunday on a bond forfeiture warrant for driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs. Bond was set at $6,500.

 

36 year-old Douglas W. Cowell of Taylorville was arrested on Sunday for violating an order of protection and resisting/obstructing an officer. Bond was set at $200,000.

 

35 year-old Lynette E. Wiseman of Taylorville was arrested on Sunday for domestic battery. Bond was set at $5,000.

 

Accidents:

 

50 year-old Robert L. Taylor of Assumption was driving a 1995 Chrysler Concord, heading eastbound on Township Road 1150 North. As his vehicle was approaching Township Road 2700 East, Taylor advised he began to lose control of the vehicle. His Chrysler then slid through the T-Intersection and struck the ditch embankment on the east side of 2700 East. Taylor was transported to Pana Community Hospital for his injuries. His vehicle was towed from the scene. The accident occurred on February 12 at 9:24 a.m.

 

30 year-old Bradford W. Duke of Taylorville and 25 year-old Mitchell W. Daigh of Taylorville were traveling south on Route 29. Daigh slowed down in his 2005 Chevrolet Silverado to turn right at 1600 East Road. Duke applied the brakes in his 2002 Chevrolet Z71, and the ABS light came on. Duke’s vehicle was not able to stop in time and hit Daigh’s Silverado on the passenger side of the vehicle. Both vehicles sustained damage during the crash. No injuries to the drivers and passengers in Duke’s vehicle were reported. The accident occurred on February 15 at 4:05 p.m.

 

24 year-old Brandon A. Durbin of Pana was driving a 2006 Pontiac 4-door car southbound on County Highway 1. As Durbin entered the curve in the area of 200 North, it drove off the roadway to the right. Durbin lost control crossing over the northbound lane. His vehicle entered a field and came to rest facing south. No injuries were reported. The accident occurred on February 12 at 10:37 a.m.

 

24 year-old Katherine F. Cloud of Staunton, Illinois was driving a 2006 Mercury Milan, heading northbound on Route 48. Around 1150 North, her vehicle slid off the road. Cloud’s Mercury hit a ditch, causing the vehicle to roll onto its roof. No injuries were reported. The accident occurred on February 14 at 3:34 p.m.

 

24 year-old Charis E. Hobbs of Taylorville was driving a 2003 Ford Mustang, heading eastbound on Township Road 900 North, approximately seven tenths of a mile west of Township Road 675 East. Hobbs lost control on the snow covered roadway, rotated clockwise, and exited the roadway to the right. Her Ford Mustang struck a metal, no trespassing sign post. Her vehicle received front, driver’s side damage. No injuries were reported. The accident occurred on February 14 at 1:55 p.m.

 

27 year-old Gregory S. Knoles of Pleasant Plains, Illinois was driving a 2015 Toyota Camry eastbound on County Road 2. Knoles stated that he lost control, slid off the roadway and struck a field entrance, causing major damage to the front of his Camry. Knoles drove the vehicle from the scene of the accident to his residence in Mt. Auburn. He was issued two citations. No injuries were reported. The accident occurred on February 13 at 5:04 a.m.

 

On Tuesday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio:

 

35 year-old Amanda R. Fathauer of Taylorville was arrested on Sunday for battery.

 

23 year-old Danielle E. Patnode of Pana was arrested on Monday for retail theft.

 

39 year-old Rebecca E. Miller of Pana was arrested on Friday for driving while license suspended or revoked.

 

Accidents:

 

44 year-old Naomi E. Gorenz of Pana was driving a 2005 Dodge Van, stopped at the stop light facing east at the intersection of Spresser and Shumway. 30 year-old Christina M. Wiseman of Taylorville was driving a 2015 Hyundai 4-door passenger car, was traveling east on Spresser Street approaching the stop light at Shumway. Wiseman did not slow down soon enough and rear ended Gorenz’s vehicle at the stop light. Gorenz’s van was pushed from the point of impact approximately 97.7 feet before stopping. Wiseman’s Hyundai traveled approximately 199.1 feet before stopping. Gorenz’s Dodge received major rear-end damage, while Wiseman’s Hyundai received major front-end damage.

 

Christina M. Wiseman was combative and was transported to Taylorville Memorial Hospital for treatment . Passengers in Gorenz’s vehicle were also treated at TMH. Wiseman was eventually transported to Memorial Hospital in Springfield for her injuries and accident blood draw. The accident occurred on February 10 at 9:17 p.m.

 

32 year-old Jacob A. Samson of Taylorville was driving a  2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue on Long Street and failed to yield right of way to 87 year-old Doris J. Julius of Blue Mound, driver of a 2003 Mitsubishi 4-door, heading westbound on Park Street. Julius could not stop in time to avoid striking Samson’s Oldsmobile. Julius sustained a slight laceration on her left elbow, and also stated she had some soreness in her left leg. She refused medical treatment at the scene, and said she may seek medical attention personally. A witness stated she saw Samson drive through the intersection without stopping. The accident occurred on February 15 at 2:33 p.m.

 

82 year-old Patricia M. Herpstreith of Owaneco was driving a 2001 Buick Regal, heading westbound on Park Street and was approaching the intersection of Park Street and McAdam Drive. 40 year-old Andrea S. Zaffiri of Rochester was exiting north from the parking lot of the Illinois Secretary of State’s Office in a 2012 Dodge Mini-Van and did not see Herpstreith, causing a collision. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene. Herpstreith was taken to Taylorville Memorial Hospital by ambulance due to injuries. The accident occurred on February 12 at 2:20 p.m.


50 year-old John M. McKee of Newton, Illinois was transporting a John Deere tractor on his 2005 Kenworth W900, travelling eastbound on Park. The top of the tractor was supposed to be 13 feet, 6 inches from the ground. The viaduct is 13 feet, 9 inches. The top of the tractor struck the viaduct and caused heavy damage to the tractor. Debris from the tractor struck a 2007 Chevy 4-door that was driven by 55 year-old Thomas A. Morrison of Assumption, which was travelling westbound on Park. A witness said Morrison’s Chevy had to lock up the brakes, but was still struck at least once by falling debris. No injuries were reported. The accident occurred on February 12 at 5:47 p.m.

22 year-old Robert A. Stivers of Pana was arrested on Wednesday on an original arrest warrant for aggravated battery to a child under the age of 13. Bond was set at $1,000,000.

 

Accident:

 

23 year-old Austin J. Wilhour of Taylorville was traveling north in a 1997 Ford Ranger on 1600 East Road, at about 1580 North. Wilhour drove into the ditch hitting a mailbox. His vehicle then continued across the roadway and hit a fence. The fence, mailbox, and truck all received damage. The accident occurred on February 10 at 9:20 p.m.

 

On Thursday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio:

 

30 year-old Christina M. Wiseman of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday for driving under the influence of alcohol,

 

A male juvenile was arrested on Wednesday for domestic battery and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

Accidents:

 

44 year-old Steven R. Fry of Pana was traveling westbound in a 2000 BMW 328I in the 100 block of West Main Cross. 65 year-old Glenn A. Bass of Taylorville was backing south in a 2003 GMC 1500 from a north facing parking spot. Bass could not see well due to the vehicles parked on the east side of his parking space. Bass backed out of his parking space, striking Fry’s BMW on the passenger side. No injuries were reported. The accident occurred on February 6 at 1:17 p.m.

 

47 year-old Toby S. Burrell of Shelbyville was driving a 1996 Mack Truck, turning southbound onto Cheney Street from Springfield Road. 63 year-old David M. DeClerk of Taylorville was stopped at the stoplight in a 2000 Chevrolet Pickup truck. DeClerk stated he did not have enough time to back up to give Burrell more room. Burrell’s Mack Truck trailer struck DeClerk’s truck. Sgt. Thomason witnessed the accident. No injuries were reported. The accident occurred on February 8 at 11:30 a.m.


51 year-old Lisa K. Marcure of Springfield was driving a 2013 Toyota Highlander, heading eastbound on East Park Street at North Walnut. Marcure stated she had a green light and proceeded through the intersection. She further stated she was hit by an unknown vehicle. Marcure stated the unknown vehicle then took off, leaving the scene. Marcure noted the vehicle was white in color with front end damage. The unknown white vehicle was not located. Marcure’s Toyota received driver’s side rear quarter panel and bumper damage. The accident occurred on February 10 at 7:46 a.m.

36 year-old Tonya M. Keller of Pana was arrested on Tuesday on a bond forfeiture warrant for driving on a suspended/revoked license. Bond was set at $2,500.

 

26 year-old William Z. Bauman of Springfield was arrested on Tuesday for domestic battery and criminal damage to property.

 

27 year-old Danielle R. Moffitt of Owaneco was arrested on Tuesday on a bond forfeiture warrant of contempt of court. Bond was set at $4,000.

 

Accident:

 

Seth D. Vaughn of Pana was driving a 1998 Pontiac Grand Am, heading southbound on Township Road 2300 East, just south of Illinois Route 16. Vaughn lost control of the Pontiac due to the icy road conditions. His vehicle slid off the roadway to the right, struck a field entrance culvert and overturned. The Pontiac traveled approximately 100 feet before coming to rest on its top. Vaughn was not injured. The vehicle was towed from the scene. The accident occurred on February 9 at 7:55 a.m.

27 year-old Trisha L. Barror of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday for possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

Accidents:

 

48 year-old Johnathon R. Verbiski of Kincaid was driving a 2003 Ford F-350, heading northbound on Elevator Street at the intersection of West England. 23 year-old Jordan A. Young of Taylorville was westbound in a 2013 Hyundai Elantra on West England coming up to the intersection of Elevator Street. Verbiski stated he came to a stop at the yield sign, then proceeded into the intersection, not seeing Young’s Hyundai. Young stated he did not have a yield or stop sign as he was continuing through the intersection. Young said his vehicle was struck by Verbiski’s Ford in the driver side doors, causing his Hyundai to spin around. His vehicle came to rest facing north in the ditch just west on the intersection on West England. Verbiski stopped his vehicle on the north side of the intersection on Elevator St. Young’s Hyundai received driver’s side rear quarter panel and both doors damage. Verbiski had front bumper damage. A passenger in Young’s vehicle, 30 year-old Leanne M. Young of Taylorville, was transported to Taylorville Memorial Hospital. The accident occurred on February 4 at 8:29 a.m.


A 2014 Hyundai Sonata owned by Jordon C. Anderson was parked at in the parking lot at Kentucky Fried Chicken. An unknown vehicle struck Anderson’s Hyundai and then left the scene. Anderson was able to drive his vehicle away from the scene. The accident occurred on February 5 at 10:30 a.m.

23 year-old Cameron W. Piehler of Taylorville was arrested on Monday for driving while license suspended.

 

Accident:


Officers were dispatched for a reckless driver complaint in the area of Franklin and Paw Paw Streets. Officers found a guide wire down on the west side of the 100 block of Paw Paw. Tire marks were left in the grass. Debris was recovered and appears to be match with the claims of the vehicle being a black Chevrolet Impala. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle. Ameren Illinois was notified to fix the hanging wires. The accident was reported on January 31 at 5:56 p.m.

43 year-old Harvey G. Droke of Taylorville was arrested on Friday on an original arrest warrant for an issuance of warrant. Bond was set at $50,000.

 

21 year-old Jacob G. Fahl of Morrisonville was arrested on Saturday on a bond forfeiture warrant for criminal damage to property. Bond was set at $10,000.

 

60 year-old Terry L. Borkhardt of Taylorville was arrested on Friday on an original arrest warrant for delivery of a controlled substance. Bond was set at $50,000.

 

28 year-old Jeremy R. Coy of Taylorville was arrested on Sunday on a bond forfeiture warrant for driving under the influence. Bond was set at $5,000.

 

30 year-old Derek W. Kelmel of Morrisonville was arrested on Saturday on a bond forfeiture warrant for an issuance of warrant. Bond was set at $5,000.

 

27 year-old Dustin J. Johnson of Thornton, Colorado was arrested on Saturday on a bond forfeiture warrant on an issuance of warrant. Bond was set at $5,000.

 

29 year-old Jessica L. Crossin of Springfield was arrested on Monday on a bond forfeiture warrant on an issuance of warrant. Bond was set at $50,000, but was later released on her own recognizance.

 

Accident:

 

54 year-old Catherine Y. Wade of Edinburg was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu, traveling westbound on 2200 North Road, approxmiately ¾ mile east of 1300 East Road. Wade’s Malibu left the north side of the roadway for 15 feet and then came back onto the roadway and crossed over to the south side. Wade’s vehicle traveled thru the south ditch for 48 feet before entering the roadway again. Once again, the Malibu drove into the north ditch, this time traveling through the ditch for 61 feet before striking a concrete culvert. Her vehicle continued through the ditch for 273 feet and then back onto the roadway. Once on the roadway, Wade overcorrected causing the vehicle to slide sideways off the roadway and struck the south ditch embankment before rolling over. Wade was transported to Taylorville Memorial Hospital by ambulance due to injuries.

 

A witness of the accident stated that he was traveling eastbound at approximately the same location when Wade’s Malibu began to swerve towards him. The witness stated that he moved far enough out of the way that Wade went by him without making any contact. The witness further stated that Wade’s vehicle went from ditch to ditch down the roadway and eventually rolled over. The accident occurred on February 5 at 2:25 p.m.

26 year-old Amanda L. Allen of Taylorville was arrested on Sunday for use of an intoxicating compound.

 

28 year-old Jeremy R. Cole of Taylorville was arrested on Sunday on a Greene County warrant.

 

Two female juveniles were arrested on Saturday for retail theft. They were released to their parents on a notice to appear.

 

On Monday, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio:

 

A 15 year-old male juvenile was arrested on January 17 for burglary. The burglary occurred at Butch’s Station in Findlay. Items from the burglary were recovered at the residence of the juvenile. Charges have been requested to the State’s Attorney’s office and he was released into the custody of his parents.

 

56 year-old Michael C. Foreman of Shelbyville was arrested on January 29 for driving under the influence of alcohol following a single car accident on County Road 800 East, near 2100 North where he was found to be the driver.

 

26 year-old Heather Shelton of Beecher City was arrested on January 31 for driving under the influence of alcohol, following a traffic stop on Route 32 and County Road 600 North. She was released from the Shelby County Detention Center after posting bail.

 

41 year-old Jacob L. Lowe of Pana was arrested for violation of his sex offender residential registration status. Lowe was on record with the State with an address in Pana and was found to be living at a location in Shelbyville Township for more than 3 consecutive days. He was incarcerated in the Shelby County Detention Center, awaiting an appearance in court.

54 year-old Rodney L. Allen of Stonington was driving a 2005 Chrysler PT, heading north on 1030 East Road. Due to fog, the driver failed to negotiate a left curve. His vehicle drove off the roadway and struck a utility pole. No injuries were reported. The accident occurred on February 3 at 12:51 a.m.

Accident:

 

24 year-old Jordan M. Kress of Taylorville was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze, heading eastbound on Illinois Route 48 just past South Houston Street when a deer ran into the roadway. Kress was unable to see the deer due to the trees. The deer struck her vehicle on the driver’s side of the vehicle. No injuries were reported. The accident occurred on January 28 at 3:45 a.m.

Accidents:

 

19 year-old Olivia A. Dyer-Norton of Taylorville parked her 1997 GMC Van facing west in the Tastee Treat parking lot. Dyer-Norton left her four year old son, Ryan Dyer, in the running vehicle while she stood at the order window. Dyer climbed into the front seat of the vehicle and put the van in gear. Dyer pinned Dyer-Norton against the building with the front of the van. Dyer-Norton freed herself and called 911. Dyer-Norton was taken by ambulance to Taylorville Memorial Hospital to be treated for her injuries. The accident occurred on January 31 at 6:16 p.m.


61 year-old Alvin K. Weaver of Pana was in his 2007 Saturn 4-door car, heading northwest on Illinois Route 29, coming into Taylorville from the south. Weaver observed a large deer on the west side of the road and slowed down. Just after the driver believed he had passed the deer, he felt his car shake and saw the deer running off. The rear driver side panel and rear view mirror were damaged. Weaver refused medical treatment. The accident occurred on January 31 at 9 p.m.

24 year-old Delaney S. Dilley of Pana was arrested on Sunday for aggravated battery of a police officer, battery, threatening a public official, possession of a controlled substance, and criminal damage to state property. Bond was set at $150,000.

 

Accident:


26 year-old Amber R. Beck of Tower Hill was driving a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am westbound on Illinois Route 16 at 2700 East Road when the driver saw an emergency vehicle stopped on the side of the road with the lights activated. Beck pushed on the brake to slow down and her vehicle began to slide. The roadway was covered in ice and packed snow. Her Pontiac spun around and slid off the south side of the road and went into the ditch. Her vehicle then struck the ditch and embankment causing damage. No injuries were reported. The accident occurred on January 12 at 6:50 a.m.
