Area Arrests, Accidents, And Fire Calls 7/1/19

The Christian County Sheriff’s office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

18 year old Skylar B. Neal of Pana was arrested on Saturday for consumption of alcohol by a minor.

 

26 year old Byron C. Kay of Pana was arrested on Saturday for a methamphetamine charge from last Tuesday.

 

29 year old Tyler W. Miller of Pana was arrested on Saturday for domestic battery.

 

51 year old Dawn Miller of Taylorville was arrested on Friday for driving on suspended revoked license. 

 

27 year old Carly Ager of Taylorville was arrested on Friday for violation-order of protection.

 

35 year old Charles C. Foraker of Taylorville was arrested Saturday for criminal damage to property.

 

51 year old Jeffrey J. Klein of Pana was arrested on Monday for possession of methamphetamine.

 

27 year old Ronald D. Lewis of Decatur was arrested on Monday for driving on suspended/revoked license.

 

25 year old Tilur M. Miller of Taylorville was arrested Sunday for possession of a controlled substance, aggravated battery of a police officer, and obstructing an officer.

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s office responded to an accident on Thursday afternoon.  A vehicle driven by 87 year old Lloyd S. Washburn of Morrisonville failed to yield at the intersection of South Spresser and Illinois Route 48 in Taylorville. Washburn hit the vehicle driven by 28 year old Sara A. Hopley of Litchfield.  Hopley’s vehicle was towed from the scene. Washburn received a citation.

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s office responded to an accident Friday morning.  A vehicle driven by 23 year old Clarean V. Wright Khyrsta of Nokomis was southbound on South Spresser in Taylorville.  The vehicle failed to stop at the intersection of Illinois Route 48.  After traveling south through the intersection Wright Khyrsta’s SUV crossed over the northbound lane and began to slide sideways.  It hit the east ditch and became airborne. The SUV flipped several times.  Wright Khyrsta claimed she swerved to miss a deer.  She also stated the crash happened around midnight and that she had been lying outside the vehicle for the past six hours.  Wright Khyrsta was taken to Taylorville Memorial Hospital.  Her vehicle was towed. 

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s office responded to an accident Friday evening.  A vehicle driven by 22 year old Justin M. Bolles was headed on Illinois Route 48 in Taylorville and while near 965 East hit a deer.  No injuries were reported.

The Christian County Sheriff’s office responded to an accident Saturday morning.  A vehicle driven by 18 year old Skylar B. Neal of Pana was headed southbound on Illinois Route 51.  At 151 North the driver swerved to miss a deer.  Neal’s vehicle left the roadway and entered the west ditch.  Neal’s vehicle traveled 90 feet through the ditch than overturned coming to rest upside down.  The occupants left the scene and later returned to the Pana Police Department.  Neal was arrested for illegal consumption of alcohol.  No report of injury.
     
The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

A 15 year old juvenile male was arrested on Sunday for criminal damage to property, resisting a peace officer and aggravated assault.

 

26 year old Amanda M. Vanostran of Taylorville was arrested on Sunday for driving while license suspended.

 

51 year old Dawn Miller of Springfield was arrested on Friday for a Sangamon County Warrant.

 

27 year old Carly R. Ager of Taylorville was arrested on Friday for violation of a court order.

 

The Taylorville Fire Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

There were 12 EMS calls and two fire calls between 10:00 Thursday morning and 9:00 Monday morning.
