Area Arrests, Accidents, And Fire Calls 6/14/19

The Christian County Sheriff’s office reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News;

 

30 year old Erica L. Wessling of Taylorville was arrested Thursday for possession of methamphetamine. 

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s office responded to a call on Tuesday evening.  26 year old Brandon L. Haines of Pana stated he had to stop abruptly due to a white van stopping to turn suddenly on to Lincoln Street.  As Haines stopped, he was rear ended by 18 year old Abigail H. Copely of Taylorville.  No injuries were reported.  Copely was given a citation.

 

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

The Taylorville Police Department responded to a vehicle accident on Wednesday afternoon.  46 year old Timothy J. Kientzel of Taylorville and 56 year old Craig A. Gorman of Auburn were headed east on Springfield Road.  Gorman slowed down because traffic was stopped in front of him.  Kientzel says he looked away for a second and struck the rear of Gorman’s vehicle.  A passenger in Gorman’s car stated she hit her head on the window but refused medical.  Kientzel was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.  Both cars drove away from the scene.  

Taylorville Police Department responded to a vehicle accident on late Tuesday afternoon on Pershing and East Park Street.  39 year old Jason M. Burkhart of Taylorville was following behind  91 year old Florence C. Banning of Pana south on Park Street.  Burkhart failed to reduce speed and struck the back of Banning’s vehicle.  All parties refused medical. Banning was given a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.  

 

The Taylorville Fire Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

There were 4 EMS calls between 9:18 Thursday morning and 9:53 Friday morning.
