Area Arrests, Accidents, And Fire Calls 5/28/19

The Christian County Sheriff’s office reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News;

 

39 year old Steven A. Douglas of Palmer was arrested Monday for contempt of court.

 

42 year old Charles C. Couchman of Foley Missouri was arrested Tuesday for contempt of court.

 

35 year old Brandt A. Ehrhardt of Taylorville was arrested Monday for bringing contraband into a penal institute.

 

26 year old Trenton S. Hunter of Vandalia was arrested Sunday for criminal damage to state property.

 

19 year old Jacob W. Catalano of Springfield was arrested Friday for fleeing police.
 
32 year old Brian J. Stephens of Kincaid was arrested Friday for theft.

 

28 year old Christian E. Chrowder of Taylorville was arrested Saturday for Aggravated battery in a public place.

 

29 year old Hannah K. Mcintosh of Taylorville was arrested Friday for domestic battery.

 

40 year old Tiffany M. Taylor of Stonington was arrested Sunday for improper lane usage.

 

26 year old Christopher J. Johnson of Taylorville was arrested Monday for DUI.

 

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a accident on Saturday morning on Illinois Route 29 near Township Road 2000N.  A car driven by 18 year old Taylor F. Sagle of Mechanicsburg was headed south on Route 29.  A truck driven by 46 year old Gregory C. Cook of Edinburg had turned onto Route 29 from Township Road 2000 N.  Sagle stated she was looking in her purse and didn’t realize that Cook had turned in front of her.  Both vehicles received moderate damage.  The passenger in Cook’s truck was taken to Taylorville Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries.   

 

Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to an accident on Route 29 on Saturday morning.  A car driven by 48 year old

Jeffrey P. Durbin of Taylorville struck a deer near 625 East.  No injuries were reported.  The vehicle was towed away.  

 

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News;

 

28 year old Christian E. Crowder of Taylorville was arrested Saturday morning for aggravated battery on a police officer.

 

56 year old Lawrence S. Stringer of Kincaid was arrested Friday evening for public intoxication.

 

27 year old Steven P. Kious of Taylorville was arrested Sunday evening for possession of a controlled substance and driving with no valid drivers license.

 

26 year old Chris J. Johnson of Taylorville was arrested Monday morning on a Christian County warrant.

 

28 year old Zachary S. Slater was arrested Monday evening for public intoxication and fighting in public.

 

30 year old Brittany D. Melton of Taylorville was arrested Saturday for suspicion of DUI.

 

38 year old Rockie Ginger of Taylorville was arrested Saturday morning on a Macoupin County Warrant and a Douglas County Warrant.

 

24 year old Jamie Sizemore of Taylorville was arrested Sunday morning for driving suspended and a Christian County Warrant.

 

Taylorville police responded to an accident on Saturday afternoon at 2PM.  A vehicle owned by Christian County Mental Hospital had significant damage to the front of it.  The vehicle that caused the damage was either a white ford F-250 or F-350 unknown year.  The matter is under investigation.

 

Taylorville police responded to an accident on Saturday morning on the 2100 block of West Spresser Street in Taylorville. A vehicle driven by 30 year old Brittany D. Melton of Taylorville backed out of a spot at the Funky Monkey Bar.  As she backed out of the spot she hit the unoccupied car owned by Broderick L. Walton of Edinburg. Melton’s vehicle than drove into the ditch.  Melton was arrested for DUI. No injuries were reported.

 

Taylorville police responded to an hit and run accident on May 16th in the afternoon.  A vehicle owned by Eugene B. Michel of Taylorville was hit at the Department of Human Services.  The matter is under investigation.

 

Taylorville police responded to an accident on Cheney Street and England Street in Taylorville on Wednesday May 22nd in the evening.  Two vehicles both driven by Juveniles hit each other as the first vehicle drove through a stop sign. No injuries were reported.  Both vehicles were towed from the scene. 


The Taylorville Fire Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

There were 25 EMS calls between 7:22 Wednesday Morning and Tuesday morning.
