Area Arrests and Accidents 4/24/19

The Taylorville Police Department responded to an accident on Saturday April 20th at 3:51 in the afternoon, on East Park Street. Officers report that a car driven by 22 year old Rhea Whitlow of Taylorville was chasing a car driven by 17 year old female.  As both vehicles stopped at a red light, the vehicle driven by Whitlow, hit the female’s car.  The female tried driving away and Whitlow chased after her until authorities were able to conduct a traffic stop.  No injuries were reported.  

 

Taylorville Police responded to an accident at the intersection of West Park Street and North Washington Street on Monday April 15th at 12:15 in the afternoon.  A car driven by 88 year old Vella M. Kimble of Taylorville failed to yield right of way and crashed into a car owned by 72 year old Ann E. Kastelic of Taylorville.  Kimble’s vehicle was completely disabled and needed to be towed from the scene.  No injuries were reported. 

 

Taylorville police responded to an accident on Saturday morning April 13th at 11:35 in the morning on East Springfield Road. A truck driven by 18 year old Johnathan D. Brookens of Taylorville struck the back of a truck driven by 59 year old Timothy B. Ostermeier of Edinburg. No injuries were reported.

 

Taylorville Police responded to an accident on Wednesday April 17th at 1:20 in the afternoon on Park Street near Shawnee Street.  A car driven by a 17 year old female hit the back of a car driven by 66 year old Connie L. Large of Owaneco.  Both vehicles were able to drive away.  No injuries were reported.  

 

Taylorville Police responded to an accident on Tuesday April 16th at 2:47 in the afternoon at the intersection of North Shumway and West Poplar Streets.  A car driven by 16 year old male failed to yield, hitting a car owned by 21 year old Andrew M. Goodall of Taylorville.  The 16 year old male was issued a citation for failure to yield at an intersection and another citation for graduated driver; unlawful number of passengers.  Goodall had a possible arm injury but refused treatment.
