The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News on Thursday:

44 year old Brandy Miles of Springfield was arrested on Wednesday.

37 year old Lorna Smith of Springfield was arrested on Wednesday on a charge of failing to appear or answer question.

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrests and accidents to Regional Radio News on Thursday:

33 year old Daniel Shimkus of Springfield was arrested on Wednesday on a charge of retail theft. According to the arrest report, Family Dollar called to report a shoplifter in the store at 8:02 in the evening. Shimkus was located in the store and arrested. He was transported to T.P.D. for processing and released on a notice to appear. He was also issued a no trespass to the store.

36 year old Samantha McPeek of Decatur was arrested for possession of a controlled substance on Tuesday.
