Area Arrests/Accidents 7/13/18

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests and accidents to Regional Radio News on Friday:

 

Unit one was traveling northbound on Township Road 940 East at approximately 650 feet north of Township Road 1320 North. Unit 1 exited the roadway to the left. The driver’s side tires went into the grass of the west ditch before the driver overcorrected the vehicle. Unit one came back onto the road, and begann spinning in a clockwise direction. Unit one skidded across both traffic lanes before hitting a guardrail on the east side of the roadway. The impact forced Unit one to come to a rest in the middle of the bridge facing south. Unit one was moved south from the bridge, and was parked a short distance from the scene along the west side of the roadway. Unit one had major front end damage, and no injuries were reported.

 

31 year old Danielle Weinert of Taylorville was arrested on Thursday on a charge of driving on a suspended or revoked license.

 

53 year old Scarlet Farlow of Taylorville was arrested on Thursday on a charge of failing to appear or answer question, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of controlled substance’

 

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrests and accidents to Regional Radio News on Friday:

 

16 year old Ty Sanders of Taylorville and 44 year old Johanna Reynolds of Auburn were in an accident on Thursday at 4:26 in the afternoon. According to the accident report, Reynolds was traveling westbound on Park Street and had the right of way. Sanders was traveling southbound on Main Street and came to a stop at the stop sign at Park and Main Streets. The report says that Sanders view was obstructed by bushes on the northeast corner of the intersection, and Sanders proceeded into the intersection. Sanders could not see Reynolds, and was hit on the drivers side truck bed by the front end of Reynolds car. No injuries were reported, and both vehicles were able to leave the scene. Sanders was issued a citation for failure to yield stop at an intersection.

 

38 year old Tiffany Sims of Pana and 19 year old Harmston Delaney of Pana were in an accident on July 9th at 8:05 in the morning. Delaney was traveling west on Park Street and stopped for traffic near the intersection of Park and Long Streets. Sims was following behind Delaney and not able to stop in time according to the police report. Sims struck Delaney causing damage. Both vehicles were able to drive away from the scene.

 

21 year old Broderick Walton of Edinburg and 64 year old Recca McPeck of Taylorville were in an accident of July 7th at 5:17 in the afternoon. According to the accident report, Walton failed  to yield to traffic while turning south onto Webster Street from Park Street. McPeck was traveling east on Park Street when Walton turned in front of her causing her to collide with the passenger side of Walton’s car. Walton refused medical attention, but Broderick was taken to Taylorville Memorial Hospital in a Dunn’s Ambulance.

 

23 year old Kelsie Bass of Taylorville was arrested on Thursday on a charge of retail theft.

 

52 year old Scarlett Farlow of Taylorville was arrested on Thursday on a charge of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, and a Christian County Warrant.
