Area Arrests/Accidents 12/28/17

On Thursday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News:

 

47-year-old Randall C. Smith of Taylorville was arrested Wednesday for Driving While License Suspended.

 

27-year-old Brianne L. Hughes of Taylorville was arrested Wednesday on a Christian County Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $10,000.

 

On Thursday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News:


19-year-old Rodney D. Sizemore of Taylorville was arrested Saturday for Escape as a Felon. Bond is set at $250,000.


23-year-old Mackenzie J. Brion of Taylorville was arrested Saturday for Escape as a Felon. Bond is set at $250,000.


On Thursday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:


A 16-year-old female was driving eastbound on Illinois Route 104 just east of Kincaid Wednesday. She left the roadway to the right side. She traveled 120 feet off the roadway before striking a tree with the right side of the vehicle. She came to rest facing west. She was transported to St. John’s Hospital via ambulance. Her car was towed from the scene.


19-year-old Victoria A. Fikan of Oakley was driving northbound on Route 29 Wednesday, following 64-year-old Mary E. Morrell. A third vehicle was pulling off the roadway and Morrell was slowing to yield to that vehicle, but Fikan did not see Morrell slowing down. Fikan rear-ended Morrell’s vehicle. No injuries were reported at the scene. Fikan’s vehicle was towed from the scene. Morrell’s vehicle did not need to be towed.


19-year-old Alli B. Richards of Taylorville was driving eastbound on 1700 N. Rd. Wednesday, approaching County Highway 22. 51-year-old Julie A. Le Beane of Mt. Auburn was driving northbound on County Highway 22 near the intersection with 1700 N. Rd. Richards failed to stop at the stop sign and entered the intersection. Le Beane noticed Richards in the intersection and swerved to avoid a collision. She did not hit Richard’s vehicle, but she lost control of the vehicle. She went onto the east side shoulder, overcorrected and continued into the ditch on the west side of the road. Le Beane continued in the ditch, striking a utility pole, and then went into a dirt field, rolling over one complete time before coming to rest on its wheels. No injuries were reported.
