Area Arrests/Accidents 12/4/17

On Monday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News:

 

26-year-old Amanda D. Johanningmeier of Taylorville was arrested Friday for Reckless Driving and DUI.

 

19-year-old Jacob D. Hall of Taylorville was arrested Saturday for Zero Tolerance and Illegal Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor.

 

34-year-old Alexis L. Wells of Pana was arrested Sunday for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

 

36-year-old Lorna Smith of Taylorville was arrested Sunday on a Christian County Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $25,000.

 

21-year-old Luke T. Molen of Taylorville was arrested Sunday for Improper Lane Usage and DUI.

 

On Monday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:

 

A 16-year-old male was driving westbound on Springfield Rd. on November 25, turning left onto Cheney St. 51-year-old Niccole A. Anselm of Taylorville was turning left with a green arrow, the 16-year-old came through the red light and struck the passenger side of Anselm’s vehicle. The impact of the crash pushed Anselm’s vehicle into a third vehicle waiting to turn left from Cheney St. onto Springfield Rd. The driver of unit 3 said that he saw the 16-year-old on his cell phone prior to the crash. Anselm was transported to Taylorville Memorial Hospital via ambulance. The 16-year-old’s vehicle and Anselm’s vehicle were towed from the scene. The 16-year-old was cited for reckless driving and failure to yield at an intersection.

 

67-year-old Kathleen A. Fritcher of Taylorville was driving eastbound on Main Cross St. Friday, stopping at the stop sign at the intersection with Shumway St. 45-year-old Michael A. Mathias of Taylorville was driving southbound on Shumway St., stopping at the same intersection. Mathias proceeded through the stop sign and so did Fritcher, causing Fritcher to strike the passenger side of Mathias’ vehicle. No one was hurt. Fritcher was cited for disobeying the stop sign and failing to yield to traffic.

 

26-year-old Amanda D. Johanningmeier of Taylorville was driving southbound on Briarcliff Rd. Friday, approaching the bridge across the creek. Witnesses say Johanningmeier was driving erratically and approximately at 50 mph in a 30 mph zone. She swerved off the roadway, traveled along the ditch, sideswiped a utility pole, missed the bridge and struck the creek bank. The vehicle then overturned after striking the creek bank. Johanningmeier was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extracted by the Taylorville Fire Department. She was transported to Memorial Medical Center for her injuries. She was arrested for Reckless Driving and DUI.

 

Late Saturday or early Sunday, an unknown vehicle struck the vehicle of Michael A. O’Bryan of Taylorville while it was parked in the employee parking lot at Walmart. O’Bryan says that the crash occurred sometime between 11 p.m. Saturday and 4 a.m. Sunday. O’Bryan was able to drive from the scene.

 

On Monday, the Pana Police Department reported the following arrests and incident to Regional Radio News:

 

A complainant reported that occurred sometime between 5 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of N. Elm St., an unknown person, possibly using a pellet or BB gun, broke the back door glass of his house. The glass was valued at $200. The case is under investigation.

 

25-year-old Brittany L. Henry of Nokomis was arrested Thursday for Failure to Appear - Larceny.

 

21-year-old Tanner M. Demascal of Assumption was arrested Friday for Driving While License Suspended and Operating an Uninsured Vehicle.

 

28-year-old Curtis M. Fuess of Moweaqua was arrested Monday for Operating an Uninsured Vehicle.

 

On Monday, the Pana Police Department reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:

 

75-year-old Judith A. Holthaus of Pana was driving southbound on Cedar St., stopped at the stop sign with Third St. Wednesday. 42-year-old Jody L. Hill of Rosamond was driving westbound on Third St. approaching the intersection with Cedar St. Holthaus did not see Hill and began to pull into the intersection, striking Hill’s passenger side. Holthaus admitted fault for the accident. No one was injured.

 

17-year-old Hannah E. Sanders of Pana was driving on E. Jackson St. near Pana Bowl Saturday when she struck the vehicle of 26-year-old Shelby C. Morrison of Rosamond. No one was hurt, Sanders was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.

 

On Monday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News:

 

48-year-old Tammy R. Durbin of Stonington was arrested Friday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $5,000.

 

39-year-old Jared L. Becker of Taylorville was arrested Friday for Using a Forged Credit/Debit Card. Bond is set at $25,000.

 

29-year-old Scott J. Dean of Taylorville was arrested Saturday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $5,000.

 

33-year-old Kimberly A. Webb of Taylorville was arrested Saturday for Obstructing Justice. Bond is set at $7,500.

 

On Monday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following accident to Regional Radio News:

 

27-year-old Jacob R. Hubbartt of Pana was backing in the Taylorville Prison parking lot Thursday when he backed into the vehicle of Nathan W. Franklin of Rochester. The two drivers exchanged information and Franklin reported the accident after his shift that day. No one was injured.

 

49-year-old Julia L. Chapman of Blue Mound was driving eastbound on 2050 N Rd. Friday when a deer ran into the road. She could not avoid the deer and struck it. She was not hurt.
