Area Arrests/Accidents 12/1/17

On Friday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News:

 

37-year-old Sabrina R. Reed of Assumption was arrested Thursday on a Christian County Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $300.

 

29-year-old Stephanie E. Reber of Taylorville was arrested Thursday for Violating an Order of Protection.

 

On Friday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:

 

56-year-old Diana D. Banning of Cowden was driving southbound on Route 29 on November 23 when a deer came into the roadway. She could not avoid the deer and struck it. She was not hurt.

 

69-year-old John T. Fournier of Pana was driving westbound on Park Street approaching the intersection with Paw Paw Street on November 24. 53-year-old Julia A. Keown of Shelbyville had slowed to turn at that intersection. There was a parked car between Fournier and Keown. Fournier passed the parked car but then rear-ended Keown’s vehicle. Fournier was not hurt. Keown was taken to Taylorville Memorial Hospital via ambulance and her car was towed from the scene. Fournier was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

 

89-year-old Dena M. Hardegan of Taylorville was attempting to turn onto southbound Springfield Road Wednesday but she did not see the vehicle of 30-year-old Heather N. Boblitt approaching. Hardegan struck the passenger side of Boblitt’s vehicle. Hardegan was cited for failing to yield.

 

On Friday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News:


34-year-old Justin L. Hill of Pana was arrested Thursday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $250.


23-year-old Austin R. Tate of Illiopolis was arrested Thursday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $5,000.


On Friday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:


38-year-old Kimberly S. Elder of Kincaid was driving westbound on Route 104 at about 850 East Wednesday when a deer entered the roadway. Elder hit the deer, but was not hurt. Her vehicle had to be towed from the scene.


A 16-year-old female from Taylorville was northbound on 1600 E. Rd. on November 22 and 56-year-old Robert M. Pollard of Pana was northbound on Route 29. The 16-year-old failed to yield at the intersection and struck the left side of Pollard’s vehicle. The 16-year-old’s vehicle spund around and ended up in the ditch on the southside of Route 29. The 16-year-old was taken to Taylorville Memorial Hospital via ambulance for non-life threatening injuries. Pollard was taken to the hospital via personal vehicle. The 16-year-old was cited for failure to yield at an intersection.
