Area Arrests/Accidents 9/18/17

On Monday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News:

 

31-year-old Pamela J. Rozplochowski of Taylorville was arrested Friday on a Christian County Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $50,000.

 

24-year-old Christopher J. Johnson of Taylorville was arrested Saturday for Driving While License Suspended.

 

24-year-old Stanley K. Desart of Taylorville was arrested Sunday on a Christian County Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $1,000.

 

21-year-old Tracy L. Stevens of Taylorville was arrested Sunday on Shelby and Macon County warrants. He was also charged with Obstructing/Resisting a Police Officer.

 

On Monday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:

 

The Taylorville Police Department filed an addendum to the following accident:

 

It was originially reported that 29-year-old Nathan K. Peck of Taylorville was exiting Hillcrest Trailer Court onto E. Main Cross St. on August 29 when an unknown vehicle struck his vehicle. The unknown vehicle continued eastbound on E. Main Cross and did not stop. Peck continued from the scene of impact until he stopped at the intersection of E. Park and McAdam, where he contacted Taylorville Police. Peck described the car as a white vehicle of unknown make or model. The Taylorville Police have identified 25-year-old Stephanie J. Ashlock as the driver of the unknown vehicle. She said she was driving south on Hillcrest Trailer Court when Peck came around a curve from the west and struck her vehicle in the intersection. Ashlock said her and Peck talked at the scene and decided not to call the police, and Peck apologized numerous times for hitting her vehicle. Peck left and drove north from the accident scene and left Hillcrest Trailer Court, while Ashlock drove to her residence and parked her vehicle.

 

50-year-old Cathy L. Cooper of Pana was driving westbound on E. Park St. Wednesday following behind 77-year-old Norma J. Cearlock of Taylorville. Cearlock was stopped at the light at Cherokee St. when Cooper failed to reduce her speed and rear-ended Cearlock. Both refused medical treatment.

 

38-year-old Shawn E. Carey of Mt. Auburn was exiting Larry’s Service Center parking lot attempted to turn left onto Springfield Rd. westbound Thursday. 17-year-old Quinton M. Neville had turned left on Springfield Rd. from Sportsman Rd. and was traveling eastbound when Carey struck Neville in the rear passenger side. No one was injured.

 

On Monday, the Pana Police Department reported the following arrest to Regional Radio News:


38-year-old Randy M. Hammond of Pana was arrested Tuesday for Driving While License Revoked.


25-year-old Delaney S. Dilley of Pana was arrested Friday on a Christian County warrant.


28-year-old Brianna M. Hoover of Pana arrested Saturday for Driving While License Suspended.


32-year-old Megan M. Klespitz of Pana was arrested Sunday for Domestic Battery and Resisting a Peace Officer.


Pana Police is investigating a burglary report on Caboose Lane in Pana, where unknown subject(s) forced entry into a garage and removed several items. The incident occurred sometimes between the evening of September 13 and the morning of September 15.


Pana Police are investigating a burglary/theft report of a Craftsman table saw and a tile saw missing from a garage in the 1000 block of E. 2nd St. The lock had been broken and items had been moved in the garage. The case is under investigation.

 

On Monday, the Pana Police Department reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:


51-year-old John O. West, Jr. of Springfield, Missouri was driving westbound on First Street when his trailer caught a tree branch, damaging a state of Illinois owned tree and the truck’s trailer. A New Wave Communications cable line was also damaged during the crash.


17-year-old Zachary R. Young of Pana was southbound on Elizabeth Street Friday when he failed to stop for the t-intersection with Magnolia. The vehicle struck the ditch on the south side of the intersection.


29-year-old Allison R. Owens of Tower Hill was traveling northbound on Poplar St. Saturday following behind 56-year-old Peter B. Baginski of Tower Hill. Owens rear-ended Baginski when he came to a stop to avoid an animal in the roadway.

 

On Monday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News:


35-year-old Larry L. Scott of Springfield was arrested Thursday for Attempted Murder, Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, and Unlawful Use of Weapons. Bond is set at $1,000,000.


55-year-old Kevin L. Casad of Edinburg was arrested Saturday for Meth Possession and Possession of a Controlled Substance.


18-year-old Preston J. Newingham of Kincaid was arrested Sunday for Fleeing Police.


33-year-old Kimberlee S. Morrison of Pana was arrested Sunday for Contempt of Court. Bond is set at $100.


On Monday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:


23-year-old Robert C. Beard of Morrisonville was driving northbound on County Road 5 Wednesday when a deer ran in the roadway, causing him to swerve. He left the road and struck a utility pole, causing it to break. After the pole broke, the wire that was attached to the pole fell across the vehicle parked in the roadway, causing damage to the right side of the vehicle.


53-year-old Kimberlee K. Wilson of Nokomis was driving southbound on County Highway 6 Friday when a deer ran into the roadway. She could not avoid striking the deer.


22-year-old Zachary R. Wilham of Williamsville was pulling out of a campsite at South Fork Dirt Riders Friday when he misjudged the amount of turnspace. He struck the camper next to his as he was turning left out of the campsite. The camper struck is owned by by Jeffrey A. Edgar of Bethalto.
