Area Arrests/Accidents 7/17/17

On Monday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News:

 

27-year-old Amber N. Spracklen of Pana was arrested Friday on a Christian County Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $1,500.

 

22-year-old Andrew McDonald of Taylorville was arrested Sunday on a valid Christian County Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $2,000.

 

43-year-old Joseph K. Ruyle of Taylorville was arrested Sunday for Battery.

 

On Thursday, the Pana Police Department reported the following arrest and incidents to Regional Radio News:


Pana Police was notified by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department of a sexual assault investigation involving an 18-year-old male and a 15-year-old female that allegedly took place in Pana as well as Shelby County. The case is under investigation and will be forwarded to the Christian County State’s Attorney’s office.


43-year-old Curtis L. Worker of Pana was arrested Thursday on a Shelby County warrant.


Pana Police and Taylorville Police are investigating the theft of a bank debit card. Fraudulent purchases were made in the Pana area totaling $1,625.85. The case is under investigation.


A complainant reported damage to a sun shading tent at Kitchell Park sometime between 7 p.m. on July 15 and 10:30 a.m. on July 16. The tent was turned on its side, tearing or cutting the fabric. A food serving table was also turned over during the incident. The damaged tent is valued at $110. The case is under investigation.

 
 

On Monday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News:


49-year-old Chet E. Sabo of Edinburg was arrested Friday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $300.


31-year-old Nicholas T. Abbott of Girard was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine. No bond has been set.


25-year-old David L. Grigsby of Pawnee was arrested Saturday for Driving on a Suspended or Revoked License. No bond has been set.


54-year-old Michael E. Handy of Pana was arrested Saturday on a Bond Forfeiture warrant. Bond is set at $2,500.


On Monday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following accidents to Regional Radio News:


21-year-old Erin A. Sexson of Taylorville was driving southbound on Route 29 Tuesday when she says a van pulled out in front of her from the north side of the intersection with 1600 East Road. She drove off the roadway to the right in order to avoiding colliding with the van. After going off the roadway, she collided with a sign.


A 16-year-old from Taylorville was driving eastbound on Poplar Street Friday, stopped at the intersection with Webster Street. He began to cross Webster Street and did not see the vehicle driven by 35-year-old Thomas J. Barry of Taylorville. The 16-year-old struck Barry. No injuries were reported.


73-year-old Gerald F. Veach of Kincaid was driving eastbound on Route 104 Saturday when his trailer came unhooked. He ran the trailer into the west bound lane. The trailer struck the vehicle when it hit the ditch on the opposite side of the roadway, and flipped over striking the vehicle.


31-year-old Jayme L. Francis of Edinburg was driving eastbound on County Highway 2 Saturday when she hit a deer at approximately 1350 East Road. She received front-end damage and her vehicle was towed from the scene.


17-year-old Hunter B. Molohon of Taylorville was driving eastbound on County Road 900 North on Sunday when a deer ran out of the south ditch and struck the passenger side of his vehicle. He refused medical treatment on scene.
