On Wednesday the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News.

26 year old Calvin L. Rowan of Paxton was arrested Tuesday on a bond forfeiture warrant with bond set at $2,000.

Accidents:

On March 3rd, 81 year old Mary J. Moffett of Springfield was traveling south on Cheney Street. Moffett proceeded past a road closed sign and into a work zone. Moffett was unfamiliar with the area and continued south to try to get out of the work zone. As Moffett was traveling south, 24 year old Dustin T. McClure of Taylorville, who was driving a street sweeper, was also heading south. As Moffett went around McClure, Moffett struck the side of McClure’s sweeper causing damage. Moffett then pulled into a nearby parking lot. Moffett advised that they thought they had struck a sign. No injuries were reported.
