On Tuesday the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News.

41 year old John E. Beaman of Springfield was arrested on Monday on a bond forfeiture warrant for possession of cannabis. Bond was set at $2,000.

ACCIDENTS:

A 2015 Honda 4 door was legally parked unoccupied in the First National Bank parking lot 322 W. Main Cross St. 64 year old Betty D. Kidd of Taylorville backed out of her parking spot, hit the Honda, and continued over a curb into the bank wall. Kidd claimed the vehicle was stuck in reverse and had defective brakes. No injuries were reported.

58 year old Kathy J. Smith of Pana and 20 year old Megan B. Sylvester of Taylorville were both heading north on Cheney Street. Sylvester stopped to turn left onto Elm Street. Smith could not get stopped in time and ran into the back of Sylvester. Both units refused medical care.
