On Monday the Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News.

53 year old Dennis W. Lamb of Yukon, Oklahoma was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant.

On Monday the Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News

Two male juveniles of Taylorville were arrested on Sunday for Illegal possession/consumption of alcohol by a minor.

38 year old Bruce L. Berner of Taylorville was arrested on Sunday for domestic battery and possession of drug paraphernalia.

30 year old Lauren N. Breedlove of Hannibal, Missouri was arrested on Saturday for motor vehicle theft, as well as on a valid MIssouri DOC warrant.

36 year old Jeramiah Johnson of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday for retail theft.

23 year old Gale Mulvaney of Harvel was arrested on Friday for driving while under the influence of alcohol.

34 year old Joshua L. Lynch of Taylorville was arrested on Friday on an original arrest warrant for theft. Bond was set at $10,000.

ACCIDENTS:

On August 12th 2016 Sgt. McWard with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a single vehicle accident at 1300 North Road at approximately 2450 East. EMS Personnel already on scene advised that the driver, 17 year old Aaron R. Pavolkla of Taylorville was already in the ambulance and being transferred to Taylorville Memorial Hospital for minor injuries. Sgt. McWard observed skid marks going from east to west which left the south side of 1300 North and entered the cornfield on the side of the road. U1’s vehicle was overturned after rolling an unknown number of times a short distance from the road.

On 8/12/16 65 year old Glenn A Bass of Taylorville was traveling southbound on Cheney Street near the intersection of Springfield Road and Cheney Street. 43 year old William T. Tilton of Taylorville was attempting to travel east across Cheney street. Tilton struck Bass on the passenger's side of their vehicle. Both vehicles were able to leave the scene.

On 8/11/16 officers were sent to the 600 block of east park street in reference to a two vehicle accident. 16 year old Ryan M. Knight of Taylorville driver stated he was going west on E. Park and could not stop in time and struck 48 year old Debra Smothers-Champley of Taylorville’s vehicle in the rear end. Smothers-Champley stated that she was going west on E. Park street and was slowing in traffic and was struck by Knight in the rear end. Knight driver was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. No injuries were reported.
