Area Arrests/Accidents 6/20/16

On Monday the Christian County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News.

 

19 year old Shiloh K. Thomas of Taylorville was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant for disorderly conduct. Bond was set at $2500.

 

27 year old Justin E. Bouvet of Stonington was arrested on Saturday for criminal damage to property as well as possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

40 year old William J. Clifton of Gatlinburg, TN was arrested on Saturday on a parole violation warrant for illegal possession of a weapon by a felon. Bond was set at $2000.

 

21 year old Marissa A. Nation of Kincaid was arrested on Friday for domestic battery.

 

63 year old Andrew E. Aldrich of Morrisonville was arrested on Monday for driving while under the influence.

 

41 year old Vivian L. Neff of Taylorville was arrested on Monday on a bond forfeiture warrant for driving while under the influence. Bond was set at $1000.



 

On Monday the Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News.

 

23 year old Danielle E. Patnode of Pana was arrested on Sunday for driving with a suspended license.



 

ACCIDENTS:

 

On 6/17/16 at approximately 2250, Sgt. McWard was dispatched to IL Rt. 29 at 1850 North for a deer vs car accident. He arrived on scene and observed a 2015 Chevrolet Spark with significant front end damage. He spoke with the driver, 40 year old Jacqueline R. Holmes of Taylorville who said she was southbound on IL Rt 29 when a deer entered the roadway from the east. Holmes struck the deer and contacted the Christian County Sheriff’s Office. Two female juvenile passengers reported minor injuries, and were transported by Deputy Pickett to Taylorville Memorial Hospital.




 

On 6/18/16 25 year old Vantez R. Rush of Omaha Nebraska was traveling westbound on County Highway 5. At approximately 1989 North, Rush lost control of the vehicle when it hit the rock shoulder. Rush went off the roadway to the right and struck the embankment, causing damaged to the front, right tire of Rush’s 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Rush was able to get the vehicle back onto the roadway, and park in a driveway at the residence nearby. Rush’s vehicle was towed by taylorville towing from the scene. Rush had a minor cut to his head, but no other injuries were reported by the other occupants.

 

On 6/19/16 16 year old Bryce P. Barton of Taylorville was traveling southbound on 800 E. Road. At approximately 1710 North, a deer came onto the roadway. Barton struck the deer with the front end of the vehicle. Barton stopped in the roadway. Barton’s vehicle had damage to the front end. Barton was able to be drive back to his residence, and was unhurt.

 

On 6/19/16 34 year old Brett A. Wexstten of Nokomis was northbound on County Road 1. Wexstten stated that a deer ran into the roadway, and he was unable to avoid striking the animal. Wexstten’s vehicle was unable to drive away because of the damage.


On 6/16/16 39 year old David J. Bolletto of Thayer was southbound on Webster attempting to turn left onto Spresser. Bolletto said that the sun was in his eyes and could not see the traffic light. He pulled into the northbound lane of traffic starting to make a left turn and realized that there was another vehicle coming towards him. 55 year old Dan R. Conrath of Taylorville came into the intersection, and tried to stop to avoid hitting Bolletto’s vehicle, but was unable to stop in time to avoid the collision. Witnesses described the accident the same way. Conrath was taken to Taylorville Memorial Hospital via Suttons Ambulance to be treated for injuries.
