Area Arrests/Accidents 6/13/16

On Monday the Christian County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News.

 

43 year old Velma L. Copeland of Kincaid was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant for issuance of warrant. Bond was set at $5,000.

 

28 year old Brittany A. Dilley of Assumption was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant for forgery. Bond was set at $25,000.

 

30 year old Raymond D. Thompson of Taylorville was arrested on Friday for domestic battery.

 

24 year old Steven A. Martinez of Roby was arrested on Saturday for battery.

 

23 year old Kiera E. Webb of Springfield was arrested on Monday on a bond forfeiture warrant for issuance of warrant. Bond was set at $2500.

 

53 year old Johnathan S. Reynolds of Taylorville was arrested on Monday for violating an order of protection.



 

ACCIDENTS:

 

56 year old Charles D. Davis of Decatur was traveling east on County Highway 2 on 6/4/16 on a 2009 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic. At approximately 1193 East, a deer entered the roadway from the south and collided with the right side of Davis’ vehicle. Davis was then forced into the westbound lane but Davis was able to keep his vehicle upright throughout the incident.

 

On 6/8/2016 35 year old McKenzie R. Crowe of Taylorville was southbound on township road 1600 E in a 2015 Nissan 5 door. 41 year old Deborah E. Short of Taylorville was northbound on township road 1600 E in a 2014 Chevrolet 4 Door. Both Crowe and Short arrived at the top of the hill at the same time. Both vehicles made contact at the top of the hill. Both vehicles had damage to the front left hand side of their vehicles. Both Crowe and Short were uninjured in the accident.


ON 6/11/16 18 year old Devynne P. Nation of Taylorville failed to yield for 53 year old Marsha N. Machacek of Taylorville and struck Machacek’s vehicle as it traveled through the intersection of Market and Cheney Streets in Taylorville. Nation’s vision may have been obstructed by some tall landscaping. No Injuries were reported.
