Area Arrests/Accidents 5/9/2016

On Monday the Christian County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News.

 

28 year old Desiree M. Baker of Lincoln was arrested on Saturday for Violation of Protection order.

 

26 year old Lacey J. Austin of Taylorville was arrested on Friday  a bond forfeiture warrant for driving with a suspended licence. Bond was set at $3000.

 

38 year old Sean M. Rush of Pana was arrested on Saturday on a bond forfeiture warrant for obstruction of justice. Bond was set at $5000.

 

41 year old Billy D. Crisp of Taylorville was arrested on Friday for Driving while under the influence of alcohol.

 


 

On Monday the Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News.

 

Lacy Austin was arrested on Friday for a valid Christian County FTA Warrant.

 

4 Male Juveniles were arrested on Saturday for Possession of Cannabis.

 

31 year old Rachel S. Duncan of Taylorville was arrested Saturday for Possession of Cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

30 year old Vonn Ishee of Decatur was arrested on Saturday for Public Intoxication.

 

37 year old Douglas W. Cowell of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday for violation of an order of protection.

 

Christian E. Crowder of Taylorville was arrested on Sunday for driving under the influence of alcohol.

 

54 year old Marcia Flemming-Hoffman of Edinburg was arrested on Sunday for Criminal Trespass to Property.

 

50 year old Bradley Houk of Edinburg was arrested on Sunday for Violation of Orders of Protection.


 

ACCIDENTS:

 

31 year old Rachel S. Duncan of Taylorville was traveling eastbound on West Main Cross in a 2003 Chevrolet Trail Blazer. Duncan's vehicle left the roadway on the left side, and drove through the yard of 1301 West Main Cross. Duncan then crashed into the front steps and bushes infront of the home, and was found stumbling around her vehicle. Duncan admitted to drinking 4 shots earlier in the night. The initial caller stated that Duncan was attempting to leave the scene but their vehicle was stuck. Caller was not on scene when officers arrived. Report of attempting to flee was validated by the back passenger tire being elevated off the ground and the tread being completely worn. There was also a strong scent of burnt rubber in the air at the accident.

 

On 5/7/16 36 year old Jeremy D. Auten of Mt. Zion was atraveling northeast on IL Route 48 in a 2008 Toyota Van. At approximately 580 north, a deer came onto the roadway. Auten tried to avoid the deer but struck the deer with the front, passenger side. 34 year old Tina L. Scott of Palmer who was driving a 2011 GMC Acadia was in the southbound lane and tried to correct into the northbound lane causing Auten to turn sideways across the southbound lane. Scott was travelling southwest on il rt 48. When Auten came into Scott's lane, Scott tried to avoid the crash but struck Auten in the back drivers side with it’s front, drivers side. Auten spun back around and came to a rest facing the southeast in the west ditch. Scott came to rest on the roadway. Auten's vehicle had 5 occupants and all were unhurt. Scott's vehicle had two occupants and all were unhurt. Auten had adamage on the front, passenger side and rear, drivers side. Scott had damage to the front, drivers side. Taylorville Towing towed both vehicles from the scene.
