Area Arrests/Accidents 4/13/2016

On Wednesday the Christian County Sheriff's department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News.

 

26 year old Timothy J. Tish of Decatur was arrested on Tuesday on a bond forfeiture warrant for issuance of warrant. Bond was set at $5000.

 

52 year old Anthony D. Clardy of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday on a bond forfeiture warrant for issuance of warrant.

 

ACCIDENTS:

 

33 year old Brian P. Garwood of Forsyth was traveling northeast on IL RTE 48 at 2200 North Rd in a 2011 Honda CR-V. The other party involved in the accident was described by Garwood as a dark colored GMC Truck. The GMC Truck was traveling east on 2200 North Road and was crossing IL RTE 48. The GMC Truck did not stop and entered the intersection and hit Garwood. Garwood was spun around in the roadway. The GMC Truck never stopped and continued east on 2200 North Rd.

 

On April 6, 2016 22 year old Shelby D. Cohn of Taylorville had overturned and come to rest on the roof of their 2002 Hyundai SUV in the ditch on the left side of 1600 North Road. Cohn and a single passenger was transported to Taylorville Memorial Hospital.

 

On April 6th, 2016, 43 year old Gregory C. Cook of Edinburg was travelling northbound on CR-22 just north of CR-2 when a deer struck the driver’s side of Cook’s 2011 Hyundai Elantra.


24 year old Jordan M. May of Taylorville was heading westbound on North St. in a 2008 Chevrolet Impala approaching the intersection at Main St. 57 year old Deanna K. Chandler of Maroa was traveling northbound on Main St approaching North St in a 2011 Ford Explorer. May stated that he slowed down but did not stop at the stop sign at Main St. Chandler stated how she saw May, but thought he was going to stop. May stated he did not see Chandler, and proceeded into the intersection. May struck Chandler in the front passenger side corner.
