Area Arrests/Accidents 4-4-16

On Monday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio:

 

23 year-old Justin M. McKay of Taylorville was arrested on Friday for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $20,000.

 

23 year-old Danielle E. Patnode of Pana was arrested on Friday for possession of controlled substance.

 

22 year-old Zachary T. Williams of Williamsville, IL was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant for driving on a suspended/revoked license. Bond was set at $5,000.

 

52 year-old Brian K. Pomeroy of Morrisonville was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant for an issuance of warrant. Bond was set at $300.

 

18 year-old Chance A. Guglielmetti of Decatur was arrested on Monday for driving under the influence.

 

24 year-old Alexandria J. Moore of Auburn was arrested on Saturday for driving under the influence.

 

On Monday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio:

 

39 year-old Shannon M. Miller of Pana was arrested on Saturday for driving while license suspended and possession of drug paraphernalia. Also during the same traffic stop, 31 year-old Joshua E. Bain of Pana was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

44 year-old Jerry L. Burton of Stonington was issued a citation on Saturday for driving while license suspended.

 

51 year-old Bobby Smith Sr. of Taylorville was arrested on Friday for retail theft and released on a notice to appear.

 

Accidents:

 

84 year-old David L. Hawley of Taylorville was driving a 2000 Mercury 4-door, heading eastbound on East Park Street. 56 year-old Bret L. Spencer of Owaneco was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Impala, was traveling westbound on East Park Street. Hawley stated he thought Spencer had his turn signal on to turn right. Hawley turned northbound and struck Spencer’s Impala in the drivers side front quarter panel. Spencer said he did not have his turn signal on and was struck by Hawley. Spencer was taken to Taylorville Memorial Hospital by ambulance. Hawley was issued a citation for failure to yield while turning left. The accident occurred on March 31 at 12:59 p.m.


Officers were dispatched to Springfield Road at Burnett Drive for an accident with no injuries. Upon arrival, officers spoke with both owners of their respective vehicles: 64 year-old Alan L. Mann of Taylorville, owner of a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado and 73 year-old Thomas D. Rudolph of Mt. Auburn, owner of a 2007 Honda Accord. Rudolph stated he had the green turn arrow to turn onto Springfield Road. Mann stated that he believed the light to be yellow when he went through it, but did not want to go against the other driver’s word. Mann stated his insurance would take care of it. Rudolph’s Honda received major front end damage and Mann’s Silverado had a flat tire with an unserviceable rim. Mann stood by and changed his tire, and Rudolph was able to drive away from the scene. No citation was issued due to the conflicting stories. The accident occurred at 4:23 p.m. on April 1.
