Area Arrests/Accidents 2-18-16

On Thursday, the Christian County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio:

 

64 year-old James E. Monroe of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday for unlawful restraint. Bond was set $50,000.

 

24 year-old David W. Moma of Taylorville was arrested on Wednesday on a bond forfeiture warrant for resisting a peace officer. Bond was set at $3,000.

 

35 year-old Steve A. Rigney of Morrisonville was arrested on Wednesday for criminal sexual assault. Bond was set in the amount of $500,000.

 

On Thursday, the Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrest to Regional Radio:

 

18 year-old Carl J. Fisher of Springfield was arrested on Tuesday for retail theft.

 

On Thursday, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio:

 

44 year-old Eric S. Dunaway of Cowden was arrested on February 6 for driving while license suspended during a vehicle stop located near Cowden-Herrick High School. He posted bond at the Shelby County Detention Center and was released.

 

22 year-old Austin A. Baker of Tower Hill was cited on February 5 for speeding 95 in a 55 zone while operating his 2014 Chevrolet at County Road 1700 West and County Road 2450 East.

 

19 year-old Bradley Mahnke Jr. of Beecher City was cited on February 9 for operating an ATV on a roadway and no valid driver’s license. He was operating a 2000 Honda ATV on County Road 50 North at County Road 1636 East.

 

32 year-old Chad Thompson of Mattoon was cited for driving while license suspended on February 10 following a traffic stop where he was operating a vehicle with no functional tail lights. He posted bond after being transported to the Shelby County Detention Center for booking.

 

25 year-old James R. Vanzandt of Shumway was arrested on February 14 for driving while license suspended, illegal transportation of alcohol and attempting to flee and elude an officer while operating a 2009 Suzuki motorcycle on County Road 2600 East and County Road 400 North. He posted bond on these charges at the Shelby County Detention Center.

 

47 year-old Candy Jo Florey of Cowden was arrested on February 12 for operating a 1997 Dodge pickup while her license was suspended. She was arrested on Route 128 at County Road 500 North and later posted bond at the Shelby County Detention Center.
