Tuesday's Boys Basketball Round-Up

Taylorville boys basketball fell in their 4th straight game last night to Jacksonville 70-52. THS turned the ball over 18 times and never really found their way throughout the game against a tough and tall Crimsons ball club.

Jordan Moats and Jack Livingston both finished with 14 points for the Tornadoes.

Tornadoes will get back to Apollo play Friday night where they will try to get back to above .500 when they take on Mattoon who has lost 3 of their last 4 ball games. That game will be at home from The Dalph at THS West Gym at 7:30pm.

Shelbyville Rams got a win over Cowden Herrick Beecher City last night 77-63. Shelby is now 11-6 on the year and sitting all alone in 2nd place behind Warrensburg-Lathem (12-3).

Head coach Bob Herdes says the Cowden game was a game that he believed they could go in and get the “W”, if they just took care of a simple gameplan.

The Rams will take on Central-Illinois Conference foe Tuscola at home this Friday night at 7:30pm. Coach Herdes appeared as a guest on the Newstalk WTIM's Coaches Show last Saturday morning.
