Central A&M Volleyball Win in Straight Sets; Gets Surprise from Opponent

Central A&M Volleyball got a win over Clinton High School in straight sets Tuesday night, 25-22 & 25-20.  However, both schools know that sometimes, it is bigger than the competition.

Clinton, with a showing of solidarity in wake of the recent loss that A&M had suffered over the past weekend where 2 students were killed in a motorcycle wreck;  the Lady Maroons presented a signed card for Raider Nation and individual flowers to each of the A&M Varsity members.

A&M's Head Coach, Vanessa Rork, says that the gesture was well received and appreciated.

Rork also said her team honored the memories of the two deceased students by wearing white jerseys with their initials imprinted inside of a heart as well as no names on the back, just a simple phrase; “Raider Strong”.

A&M will take the floor next on Thursday against Tuscola, game time is set for 7pm.
