A seminar for women and being safety aware is coming to Shelbyville. The Shelby Christian Church will be hosting a personal protection seminar for women on Thursday, August 1st at 6PM.  Val Gaddis, a spokeswoman for the event, says that everyone can learn something from this session.

Gaddis says the speaker, Katie Johnson who is from Granite City, has dealt with a lot of car jackings in her town and has developed protection measures to deal with that.
