Shelby County held their Miss and Junior Miss Pageants on Friday.  This is the fifth year, Shelby County has done the pageants.  Sara Long, who is a former Miss Shelby County and current pageant director says that these pageants go a long way towards helping young women with interview skills, manners, and appearance.

Long says while the industry hasn’t changed much since she competed you are seeing women going into job industries usually held by men. 

The Miss Pageants had a great turnout. Adilyn McCray was crowned 2019 Miss Shelby County.
