Christian County and the surrounding area is bracing for severe weather moving through this afternoon. Severe weather is supposed to move through the area today with severe thunderstorms, wind gusts, and a possible isolated tornado. The Emergency Management Agency (EMA) director Mike Crews recommends to pay attention to the Christian County Severe weather and disaster recovery Facebook page to keep up to date on severe weather as it moves through.
Severe weather is expected to continue through Thursday with possible flash flooding and damaging wind and hail. Rainfall is expected to be 1-2 inches.
