Monday night, the Taylorville Parks Department met for their monthly meeting. To start, the board passed a motion to use grant funds for the purchase of security cameras to be placed at the new playground. Following that, the new Manner’s Park Playground parts have all arrived, the next challenge is building it in time for the summer. Recreation Director Bailey Hancock explains how the park will bring in outside help.

Hancock says the purpose of the help won’t be to build the full playground, but just the main structure.

Also, more work is being done at the Manner’s Park pool to have that ready for summer. Following those discussions, the Park Board entered into a closed session.
