Every year the U of I Extension Office in Taylorville looks for ways to get ag involved in the classroom, one of their more popular methods is the Ag Lit Chicks.
4H and Ag Lit Program Coordinator Rebecca Livingston says this is personally one of her favorite things the extension office does as the kids really get involved.
Livingston says it can be tricky to keep the chick eggs at the perfect temperature with humidity playing a factor as well.
