March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month and Taylorville Memorial Hospital is ready to fight back.
TMH Director of Ancillary Services Lora Polley says other than skin cancer colorectal cancer is one of the more common cancers.
Polley says detecting the cancer early goes a long way. For this reason TMH will be giving away free colorectal screening kits coming up in the middle of March.
Last year three individuals tested positive, this doesn’t mean they had colorectal cancer. It means that it has been detected early and colorectal cancer can be prevented.
