Regional Radio News has learned from the Illinois State Police that a one unit crash involving a pedestrian occurred Thursday November 8th, at 9:10 in the evening in Litchfield.

31 year old Nathan Glover was traveling eastbound on Union Avenue at the intersection of Monroe Street in Litchfield according to the accident report. A pedestrian, 46 year old Lorie McDonald of Litchfield was struck by Glover’s vehicle on the west side of the intersection. McDonald was transported to Saint Francis Hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. Glover was cited for operation of an uninsured motor vehicle. The crash is being investigated by the Illinois State Police Traffic Crash Reconstruction Unit.
