Antibiotics can save lives, and are critical tools fro treating both common, and serious infections. However, they need to be properly used in order to be effective, and sometimes, improper use can do more harm than anything else. Antibiotic Awareness Week begins November 12th, and spokesperson for the Illinois Department of Public Health, Melanie Arnold, shares why being educated on Antibiotics is important.
