TJHS Rasing Money for Honor Flight

Taylorville Junior High School has been doing its part to help give back to our country's veterans. TJH has been raising money to for the Honor Flight, a program that flies veterans to Washington D.C. to visit memorials that represent the war they fought in. So far, they have raised $300 dollars, and are continuing to raise more according to TJH Principal Jessica Miller.

Miller says that the school improvement team met to discuss ways to give back to veterans, and they decided that dress up days for the students would be a good idea.

The student body of TJH also preformed another respectful gesture for veterans. They each wrote hand written letters to veterans that were sent to Springfield for those who returned from an honor flight.
