Taylorville Memorial Hospital is hoping to spread awareness about diabetes during the month of November in honor of National Diabetes Month. This Thursday, at Senior Life Solutions, they are going to host a session called Understanding Diabetes and All Those Numbers. Janelle Cornell, the Clinical Dietitian at TMH says the entire goal is to help educate more people about the disease.
Cornell also says that it is important to understand the risk that comes with diabetes as well.
The event is open to anyone who is interested in learning more about diabetes, and begins at 6:30 in the afternoon on November 8th.
