Dove is a social service organization that serves 5 Illinois counties with multiple programs being offered for what someone might need.

Susie Kensil is the Coordinator of the Dove Domestic Violence Program. October is the Domestic Violence Awareness Month and Dove is doing a candlelight with the theme of home should not hurt.

The event will start with a prayer and after Kensil makes a few remarks they will light the candles to honor victims of domestic violence. Kensil is thankful that once again this year Shelby County did not have any fatal domestic violence cases.
