The State Fire Marshal has determined the recipients of the FY2018 Small Equipment Grant Program, and the Nokomis Area Fire Protection District is one of the recipients. Nokomis Fire Chief Michael Smalley is excited about what the grant, and wants to use the money to replace older, outdated equipment.
Not only is Chief Smalley excited for new equipment, he is also looking forward to the efficiency that it will provide.
Along with having new technology, and greater efficiency, Chief Smalley thinks the new equipment will greatly help the Nokomis community.
