This August, the Stonington United Methodist Church is hosting its life saving blood drive. Marilyn Remmert, the coordinator for the Methodist Church says for those who are not sure if they should give, it does not take long to do it.
The church has been hosting this blood drive for several years, and they are hoping to get just as many donors as they could in past years. They also, have snacks and drinks available for those who participate.
The blood drive is happening on August 2nd from 4-7pm. Potential donors must be at least 17 years of age, and weigh more than 110 pounds. For questions about the drive, call the Central Illinois Community Blood Center at (800) 747-5401.
