Coming up on July 30th, the HSHS Good Shepard Hospital is going to host their second annual Vacation Body School. The school is designed for children in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade, and classes will continue until August 2nd. Teri Whalen, an occupational therapy assistant at HSHS Good Shepard, talked about what kids and parents can expect from the school.
In addition to the lessons focusing on heart health, there is going to be plenty of fun activities for kids to take part in.
Last year was the Vacation Body School’s first year in existence and the school saw rising attendance numbers each day. Class times will start in the morning at 10, and continue until noon. The classes are free, and per-registration is encouraged.
