A 33-year-old Ramsey man was killed in a one-car accident in Pana Township just past midnight on the 4th of July.
Christian County Coroner Amy Calvert Winans tells Regional Radio News that Vernon L. Hall was driving west on 100 North Road in Pana Township, when he lost control of the vehicle, struck the ditch, then hit a utility pole.
Hall was pronounced dead at the scene, from blunt force trauma to the head. Winans says he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The accident is under investigation by the Christian County Sheriff's Office and the Christian County Coroner's Office. Toxicology results are pending.
The Pana Fire Department, Pana Ambulance, and Shelby Electric Cooperative assisted at the scene.
